Gumball was walking down the hall to his first class, shifting through the crowd, when a body hit his, causing him to lose his books and balance. The crowd went silent and turned to watch. Gumball got his bearings quickly and gathered his books. Once they were neatly sitting in his arm he prepared to sit up. The only thing that stopped him was a pale face upside down, almost nose to nose. For a second Gumball was entranced in the deep red eye before him. The face belonged to a young male, around his age it seemed. Scratch that, the face belonged to a vampire. The vampire's lips parted to make a smile, his tongue flicked over his fangs. The smile wasn't a friendly one, it was merciless, predatory even. Gumball brought himself back and put on a face of distaste.

"Excuse you." The vampire laughed, followed closely by others.

"Excuse me….hahaha" his voices was magic, smooth almost liquid into the form of words. It took Gumball off guard. He attempted to stand, but the vampire was stubborn enough not to move.

"Do you mind?!" Gumball said with a little more force. The vampire moved over Gumball as he spoke.

"Not. At. All." He landed on Gumball, his predatory eyes sinking into Gumball, never relinquishing their grip on him. Gumball was so flustered when the vampire straddled him. Such disrespect was unknown to Gumball.

The crowd around them had dispersed until only Gumball, the vampire and his goons remained. Great, late on the first day. The goons following the vampire were ghosts, Gumball felt uneasy around ghosts due to their uncanny connections to zombies.

"I'm Marshall Lee, and you, are gorgeous." His smile made Gumball uneasy and feel like a mouse in the paws of a tiger. Marshall licked his lips again, this time cutting his tongue on his fangs, drawing blood across his skin. Gumball was beginning to get scared.

"I don't care who you are, you have just made me late to class and are making me uncomfortable, so please get off of me and….-" Marshall put a cold finger to Gumball's lips to silence him.

"How dare you?!" his voiced cracked towards the end. "I am a Prince!" the vampire only widened his smile, but his eyes grew dark and his eyebrows twisted.

"And I'm a king." With a swift gesture Gumball's books were everywhere again, and his wrists gripped by Marshall. Marshall lowered him gently as he spoke. "I, outrank, you." Gumball's breathing was heavy as he struggled to free himself.

'G..get off of me. Stop this please… I..." his voice caught in his throat when cold lips pressed hard against his. The taste of blood on the vampires tongue caused Gumball to feel sick. Gumball tried to shift himself out of Marshall's lap but failed. The vampire pulled himself off the prince and smiled down at him. Gumball tried fiercely to hide his fear but obviously failed when the ghosts laughed. Gumball looked at them with as hard a stare that he could manage. Marshall must have been annoyed too for he flicked his dark eyes in their direction and they were silenced. They closed their ghostly mouths and floated away as if on cue.

When they were out of view Marshall looked back down at Gumball; who was still trying to get his wrists free.

"You're new here?" it wasn't said as much of a question but more of a statement. Gumball nodded to afraid that if he spoke his voice would crack; that wasn't very Prince like. "Well, this is just your first taste then." Marshall leant down to Gumball's ear, a soft growl coming from his throat. "Get used to this intimacy you heiress." With that Marshall released Gumball and floated away, licking the blood from his lips.

Gumball stood. So this is school. He thought. Great.
