I've Seen You Cry Way Too Many Times
Sam had left with Bobby to go for a drink while Dean stayed home, just because he needed time alone. The Apocalypse was way too damn much; having the fate of the world resting on his and his brother's shoulders was way too damn much. Then there was the risk of losing everyone and everything he loved. He didn't ever want to lose Sam again, or Bobby. But if he lost Castiel then he'd just die inside. Castiel was the one person who truly understood Dean, and the older Winchester knew he was loved, and knew he loved Castiel.
Slamming the whiskey bottle down, Dean's anger turned to tears as he slumped on Bobby's couch, burying his face in the pillows. Suddenly, two strong arms wrapped around him and pulled him into a warm embrace. Dean didn't have to open his eyes to know it was Castiel.
"Shhh…" Castiel whispered, "Please don't cry, Dean. Not again."
"I'm sorry, Cas. I can't help it." Dean sobbed, gripping that trenchcoat he knew and loved so tight his fingers hurt, "It's too much…all of it!"
"I know this is hard, Dean. You're being so strong. If some people were put in this situation they wouldn't know what to do with themselves, but you're so determined and ready to fight for your Earth it's unbelievable." Castiel said, pressing a gentle kiss to Dean's hair, "Stay strong for me."
Dean took a deep breath and sat up, tears still rolling down his face which Castiel kissed away lovingly.
"No more tears, Dean…I can't watch you cry anymore." Castiel whispered, caressing Dean's cheek.
The love pouring from Castiel almost hurt Dean. He didn't feel worthy or deserving of Castiel's love. He didn't feel like he was worthy of anyone's love but especially not someone like Castiel's.
Castiel read Dean's mind and sighed, shaking his head. Tears filled his eyes as he saw the pain in his lover's eyes.
"Dean, please. I've seen you cry way too many times." Castiel begged, "Please don't cry anymore. I can't take it…"
Then Castiel burst into tears, and Dean stopped crying straight away. He took Castiel straight into his arms and hushed him, rocking him back and forth in the embrace.
"I'm so sorry, Cas. Don't cry, Sweetheart." Dean pleaded, "Stop crying, Baby."
Castiel looked up at Dean and kissed him passionately.
"I've seen you cry way too many times now." The hunter whispered, kissing his angel again before they lay back against the sofa in each other's arms.
"No more crying?" Castiel asked, sniffling and wiping his eyes.
"No more crying." Dean clarified, kissing Castiel's forehead.
