From the living room Harry could hear Dudley wailing complaining to Aunt Petunia. He had finally discovered it was missing. Harry tried to smother his smile.
"Boy, get in here!" Uncle Vernon roared.
Trying to contain himself so he wouldn't look suspicious, Harry went to the living room. He was met with a red faced Uncle Vernon, a pursed lipped Aunt Petunia, and a faked teary eyed Dudley.
"Where is Dudley's video game?" demanded Uncle Vernon.
Harry feigned confusion. Was he convincing? "Dudley's video game?"
Harry knew what video game of Dudley's was missing. In fact it happened to his favorite: Alien Blast. While Aunt Petunia was busy on her hands and knees scrubbing the kitchen floors until they gleamed because she'd seen a bug in there that morning and Dudley was at a friend's house, Harry had sneaked into Dudley's play room and stolen the game. It was currently hidden under his bed beneath some rubbish. It had been a very boring afternoon for Harry and he wanted to see Dudley's reaction when he noticed the game was gone.
"Yes, Dudley's video game," said Uncle Vernon impatiently, "where is it, boy?"
"I don't know," Harry said as honestly as he could.
"He's lying, Dad," Dudley wailed as Aunt Petunia rubbed his fat shoulder in soothing circles in an attempt to pacify him, "he knows where its at."
"I am not!" Harry said, "what would I need your game for?"
"Don't you take that tone with Dudley, boy," snarled Uncle Vernon. "Go back to your cupboard and stay there until you tell me where that game is."
Slightly disappointed that Uncle Vernon hadn't warranted a search of his cupboard, Harry stretched out on his back on his bed. They would search his cupboard and discover the missing game eventually. How much trouble Harry would be in when they found it, he didn't know nor did he care. He was just bored and this was his form of entertainment.
