Light v/s Dark

I was alone
I'd been abandoned
I was lost and confused, What had happened?
Darkness had surrounded me
Laughing as I tried to flee
The evil that grew inside
Was getting harder for me to hide
I ran in circles without sight
Stumbling helplessly in my pointless flight
I would not surrender
But couldn't fight
How would I know when to strike?
When, finally I could take no more
I found the one and only door
I rushed quickly over and turned the knob
But was crushed when I found it locked
My legs fell out from under me
And I dropped into a sobbing heap
I'd finally just given-in
Thought no way out of this evil den
I heard a voice out of the dark
Telling me to search my heart
Cause if I did I'd surely find
That the key was already mine
Not entirely sure what that meant
I picked myself up and tried again
This time the door swung open free
Chasing the dark away from me
It lifted me up and threw my sin
Back into the dark from which I'd been
And as the evil was washed away
I knew the light was there to stay
I felt god's amazing love that day
He molded me in a special way
To fight the battle without fear
And teach his people to help their peers
So when Satan hears our powerful cry
He'll prepare his mean to die
Light will always triumph over darkness.
