Alana watched him, he was with another boy with brown hair. He had dark black hair, his name was Felix and his other friend was Sam, yet Alana didn't know their names, Alana hid behind an aisle of dream catchers.
"Hey we don't do vampire books." Her mother phoebe said, talking about the presence Felix gave off with his dark black clothing and dark hair.
"I don't want vampire books." Felix said sounding a little annoyed. Felix and Sam were looking round for something. Felix talked to Alana's mother about a book, Alana knew exact which book he meant because Alana was recently reading it.
"I know where it is." Alana stepped out, it's as if she teleported in front of them, she looked at the two boys. Alana stood there, she had dark brown curly wavy hair like her mothers, she wore bracelets and bangles on her arms and feather earrings. Her clothes consisted of a colorful top, a plain skirt and black converses. The two boys looked at Alana, captivated by her magical and different aura filling the room.
"Do not show them Alana." Her mother said sternly. Alana dismissed her and walked to somewhere else in the shop. Felix and Sam did too. Alana turned round, she gently grabbed Felix's shirt and pulled him forward, Felix didn't back away, strangely.
"Make a distraction, I can get you that book." Alana whispered in Felix's ear, she pulled back and smiled a little. Felix watched her for a while, then suddenly thought up a way to distract Alana's mother, he told Sam to run outside and cause a distraction out there, Sam nodded and walked out of the store and made a loud sound, causing Phoebe to walk outside to see what the commotion was about, Felix flickered his eyes to Alana and Alana mouthed the words 'follow me' Alana lead him through the shop and through a doorway with beads hanging from it, they walked down a quick hall and then into another room, it was dimly lit and had books everywhere.
"Oh it's not where she usually leaves it... Look round in that area." Alana said. Felix nodded, he was mesmerized by the room, Alana looked in other places, Felix looked through some drawers and book shelves and then finally found it.
"That's it!" Alana whispered excitedly. Felix smiled at the girl and whispered a quick 'thank you.' They both hurriedly walked back out into the shop and Felix hid the book behind a shelf so he could take it when Alana's mother wasn't looking.
Felix immediately pretended to be looking at things around the store and Alana stood near but not too near. Alana's mother shuffled into the store and went back round the counter, looking suspiciously at Felix and Alana.
"Found what you were looking for?" Phoebe asked Felix, he shook his head. Phoebe was looking round the counter. Alana gently grabbed Felix's arm and pulled him to somewhere hidden in the shop so Felix could read the book, he flipped through some pages and found what he was looking for, it was the markings on their shack they found this morning.
"Where did you get that?" Phoebe suddenly appeared in front of the two teens.
"I, um it was on the shelf." Felix lied.
"No." Phoebe said sternly, he came up with more lies and Phoebe just took the book from him and walked off
"Adults only." She said sternly.
"Mum he needs it." Alana stepped in.
"You shouldn't be fooling around with my things Alana and you also shouldn't be fooling around with weirdo vampires." Phoebe said, making fun of Felix again. Felix asked if she had anything of the sort which was like that book.
"It needs to be cheap though." Felix said, Phoebe sighed
"How cheap..." She replied getting annoyed. Felix put his hand in his pocket.
"Thirty five cents?" He asked hopefully, holding it up in his hands. Phoebe rolled her eyes to look at her daughter, Alana stood there dreamy eyed looking at Felix.
"Alana could you get the cardboard box that was laying out on the table." Phoebe said, Alana nodded and walked out to get the box, she walked back through and placed it on the counter, she stood next to her mother. It was a box of charms and stones.
"Since when did good luck charms have due by dates?" Felix asked.
"Since they came from Korea." Phoebe replied sighing.
"That charm is good." Alana said pointing to one that was a sort of diamond looking shape. Felix looked at it and picked it out.
"Do they all work?" Felix asked as he was looking through the box.
"You tell me, Felix." Phoebe said, saying Felix's name, Felix paused and averted his eyes to Alana's mother.
"How did you know my name." He asked in a very serious tone.
"It's on your book." Phoebe said pointing to his book he held. Felix, what a cute name, Alana thought. Sam walked into the shop to ask if Felix was done.
"Thank you, Phoebe." Felix smirked he began to walk off. Alana laughed just a little.
"Wait, how did you know my name?" Phoebe said curiously, he walked out with his friend.
"You're always welcome here." Alana shouted to Felix, Felix turned round and smiled, he then turned back around and left. Alana sighed dreamily and rested her chin in her hand and leaned on the counter. Phoebe rolled her eyes and muttered 'teenagers...' In a dull tone.
During the rest of the afternoon, Alana spent the day drawing Felix in her notebook, her mother watched her, they were sat in the back room and they just finished eating dinner.
"If you go out with that boy I'm kicking you out." Phoebe said, but she was only joking.
"I'll just have to take some chances then." Alana said smirking to look up at her mother.
"You can't stop me from me getting to know him." Alana said with a smile, she finished the drawing of Felix to show her mother, it looked like a professional artist drew it.
"My little witch artist." Phoebe said smiling and feeling proud of her. Alana smiled too, she then got up to go out into the shop to pack away some things.
The next day Alana was set off down the streets of her small town name Bremin, she liked to go on walks because it cleared her mind, the streets were mildly quiet. She then heard a couple of boys chasing another boy, they shot straight past her, almost causing Alana to fall over, they were boys from her school. Then suddenly Felix from yesterday ran past her, he ran behind a wall, possibly where the other boys went. She sighed and walked to where the wall is, she could hear some conversation.
"Now this was a bit of a shock, if you don't mind I'll just be on my way." Alana could hear Felix's voice, then there was a sudden sound of movement.
"Not a chance." Another boy said, Alana then formed a frown, she peeked behind the wall to see Felix being pinned to the wall. She stepped out from behind the wall angrily.
"Didn't I tell you to stop picking on attractive boys? Clear off or would you rather fight me?" Alana said loudly, complimenting Felix slightly, the two boys turned around to look at Alana, her presence never failing to fascinate anyone. She's dealt with these two before and they wouldn't dare do it again. They both walked off in anger, Alana watched them leave and then she directed her sight to Felix who was staring at her.
"Thank you, again." He said smiling, he picked up his bag and slung it over his shoulder.
"And also, I am not attractive, I'm a freak." Felix stated, Alana just smiled.
"Well I think other wise, strongly." She said, still persisting he was attractive, this caused Felix to blush just slightly, no girl has ever liked him before, except Ellen but this was different because Alana was actually interested in him.
"So what are you doing today?" Alana asked, Felix thought, he wanted to visit his brother Oscar, well he wasn't his brother anymore.
"I'm just going to see a friend." Felix said, he fiddled with the bottom of his shirt, this was something he did when he was lying, Alana watched him. Alana nodded, she didn't want to seem too eager so she hovered for a second before Felix spoke up.
"Do you want to come?" Felix looked up and asked her, Alana nodded and smiled.
"So is Pheobe your mum?" Felix asked as they walked together, he remembered yesterday when Alana tried to help him and his friend find a book.
"Yeah, she's a bit cold and rude but she's lovely.." Alana said smiling at Felix, she loved to be around this boy, she didn't really know why. Maybe because he was different, which Alana loved. The two continued down the street to find Felix's house, but now it was just Oscar's house. They got along, they liked quite a few same things.
"Do you like rock music then?" Alana asked politely, Felix nodded.
"A lot, I want to go to a concert one day." Felix said smiling. Alana said she has listened to many heavy metal bands before.
"My mum would always take me to these big summer festival concerts when I was just a baby." Alana said smiling.
"Lucky." Felix said, feeling a little jealous. The two were both loners, Alana usually gets picked on by a lot of girls for being different, like Felix.
"I thought Phoebe was your mum, I saw you in her shop occasionally." Felix said, talking back to the time before they got transported to this universe.
"This is our house." Felix said, Alans looked at him curiously.
"His house I mean." Felix covered up quickly. Alana nodded.
