Author's Note: Welcome to my first fanfic and because of that I'd like you to go easy on me in your reviews which I hope you will place. I know this chapter is short, but the others will be much longer because they are farther into the story. Anyway let's begin…

Disclaimer: I don't own Samurai Jack…obviously.

                                                   A Surprise Visitor

Jack walked through the fray of the spark-shooting robot spiders that had been blocking the way into the upcoming jungle. Jack's sword as well as hair was covered in oil as evening slowly started to become nighttime. Jack decided to try to go his farthest through the jungle with the sunlight that remained.

Jack walked through the jungle with his sword not in its sheath making sure it wouldn't get oil inside the sheath. As he got deeper into the jungle he started to hear the sound of running water. A small grin grew upon his face as he started to run towards the sound with his hair out. As he ran he heard the chirping of birds and noises of insects.

Soon after passing up a few trees Jack caught sight of a waterfall. The clear water soothed Jack as he moved toward the waterfall and then stuck his head underneath the water; feeling relaxed as it cleaned his hair. He then pulled his head from underneath the water and moved his head from side to side, which shook most of the water off. Jack then took his sword and placed it underneath water and twisted it around to make sure it cleaned every side of it.

Then knowing that his sandals were dirty took them both off and put them into the water. Jack then laid his sword to his left and placed his sandals into the water. As he turned the sandals over and over like he did his sword he started to hear a clanking sound behind and looked up to see an otter with a bow in his left hand and two arrows in his right on the other side of the waterfall. The otter grasped the bow tightly and latched the two arrows he had to his bow.

Jack reacted quickly ducked after the arrows were launched even though the arrows weren't even meant for him. The arrows zipped a couple of feet away above his head and went through the two robot spiders, which had stood behind Jack; about to strike. The arrows had gone entirely through the robot spiders and into the trees behind them their diamond arrowheads glistening in the sun. Jack looked back to see that the robot spiders were about to explode and he quickly responded by leaping forward, but with the little force he exerted he landed into the small puddle in front of him with his sword in his left hand. The explosion also caused Jack's sandals to go flying forward next to him.

Jack then looked up to see the kind eyes of the otter, which had fired the arrows as he now held out his right hand to pull Jack up. Jack reached up and caught the otter's hand and he was pulled up.

"Thank you for your help. People call me Samurai Jack, what is your name?" Jack uttered kindly as he placed his sandals on his feet and put his sword in his sheath.

"Your welcome and my name is David. I' am of the Orcher tribe, we are known for our great abilities in the art of archery. I did not destroy those robots for just your sake, but I also did it because Aku has been trying to take control of our village many times with his minions. But my people have warded his minions off each and every time and I fear that we will soon grow weak and no longer be able to fight against Aku's minions."

"Do not worry my friend I' am also against Aku and I plan to help you fight. With my might sword and your villagers' skill we will banish Aku from this land, forever.
