Someday I'm gonna make it alright His Black hair was pulled back into a ponytail, wisps falling into his eyes. He strummed the strings a little, getting the feeling and checking the guitar was in tune, humming slightly as he did and envisioning his message into words. Opening his eyes Harry looked down at the beautifully crafted metallic auburn acoustic guitar in his arms. He rolled the sleeves of his red overshirt up to avoid it snagging between the strings, his black shirt and jeans standing out brilliantly against the instrument. His voices cracked a little as he tried a practice song before quieting again. Then he began to strum whilst singing in a soft yet strong voice.

"How the hell'd we wind up like this-

And why weren't we able- To see the signs that we missed- And try to turn the tables- I wish you'd unclench your fists and unpack your suitcase- Lately there's been too much of this- But don't think its too late Nothing's wrong- Just as long as you know that someday I will- Someday, somehow- I'm gonna make it alright but not right now- I know you're wondering when, You're the only one that knows that- I'm gonna make it alright but not right now- I know you're wondering when-

Well I'd hoped that since we're here anyway that we could end up saying- Things we've always needed to say so we could end up staying- Now the story's played out like this just like a paperback novel- Let's rewrite an ending that fits instead of some Hollywood horror- Nothing's wrong- Just as long as you know that someday I will- Someday, somehow- I'm gonna make it alright but not right now- I know you're wondering when, You're the only one that knows that- I'm gonna make it alright but not right now- I know you're wondering when-

You're the only one that knows that-

Harry stopped singing and let the sound of the guitar take over, strumming it frantically whilst he closed his eyes and moved his head slightly to the sound. The harsh tones melded together to produce a fast beat conveying what could only be explained through music before cutting back in again singing.

"How the hell'd we wind up like this-

I know you're wondering when.

His fingers played the last notes before letting them rest against the smooth body of the Fender. Opening his eyes he sighed with the slightest smile gracing his face and pushed his thin black rimmed glasses back up his nose. He placed the guitar tentatively beside him and shut the book of sketches, emotional poems and music tabs he's kept since he could remember. Placing it under his arm and placing the guitar back in its case he removed the silence charm and after carefully concealing them both under his bed he pulled out his ponytail letting his hair graze his shoulders, slipped on his cloak and started on his way to Transfigurations.
