"Kyoya-senpai?" He turned around in his chair to face Haruhi. She was standing there with a slightly curious expression.
"Yes?"
"Well, there was something I was wondering…" she started rocking back and forth on her hells.
"And that would be…?" He raised an eyebrow, waiting for her to continue.
After a moment, she stopped rocking and suddenly took his glasses off, leaning in closer. He was too shocked to do anything but widen his eyes. His mouth even opened a little. She stared into his eyes for about a minute before nodding and leaning back.
"What was the meaning of that?" Kyoya asked, trying to keep his composure.
"I wanted to know what color your eyes are," she answered simply.
"I could've just told you," he replied, setting his glasses on his nose and pushing them up, turning back around to his computer. "They're black."
"You're wrong." He froze, his fingers hovering above his keyboard. Slowly, he turned back around to face the brunette.
"What?"
"You're wrong. They're not black. I used to think so too, but I wanted to check."
"Then what color are they?" he asked coolly.
"A dark green…a very dark green, but green nonetheless." Then she smiled before walking back over to Hikaru and Kaoru, who had previously not noticed her brief absence.
That's an intriguing notion…in its own way, he thought before going back to his work.
I actually like these short little drabble like one-shots.
In case any of you are unaware, that last quote is from "Kyoya's Reluctant Day Out" which, I believe, is episode 17 of the anime. I love that episode.
