The End of the Tour
It took him too long.
Space and time became a bit muddled, once his attachment to the Disc was no
longer a bodily one.
He floated above wide open spaces, slowing down to inspect every large rock. He
saw water that was blue, splashy, and everything that water should be. He saw
sun, rain, and far too many cabbages, and one day he came upon statues of
tremendous hippos and knew he was back in the right place.
He made his way through familiar streets to the Watch House and his friend.
"You're still wearing the helmet," said Lance-Constable Cuddy.
