A/N: Just a Code Lyoko drabble I wrote for a school project. The story itself is only 200 words. Enjoy!
Aelita stepped out of the scanner, enjoying the experience, trying to forget the weight on her soul, the knowledge she could not stay long.
She saw through her friends' attempts to hide their pained expressions and cheered them by acting as if her arrival on Earth was as commonplace as the need to breath, instead of the rarity in truly was.
"Who's up for ice cream?" she asked. The gang left the factory to enjoy the few hours of sunshine before the inevitable. Whilst no one mentioned it, Aelita's return hung over the group, dampening their spirits.
Despite this, the Lyoko warriors had a wonderful afternoon.

It was time. No words were spoken. Yumi, Odd, and Ulrich hugged Aelita good-bye before she left for the factory. Jeremie walked her to the scanner, where they stared and said nothing.
As he turned to leave, Aelita wrapped her arms around him, whispering in his ear. Then she entered the scanner, waving and waiting to return to her virtual prison.
Aelita's words rang through his head as he programmed her return and later that evening when Jeremie sat working through the night.
"You will find the cure, Jeremie. I believe in you."
