"Lets go for a walk." The platinum blonds voice was cold as sorrowful as her large teammate stepped from his home.

"What's wrong Ino?" The tubby fingers of her team mate restrained themselves from re-entering the crisp packet in his hand.

"just… just come with me." She began to walk away her blond hair lifted by the momentum of her own movements.

"Ino?" He asked cautiously the small clouds of dust kicked up by his steps were visible in the night's blackened streets.

"Choji, please just." Her pail fingers slipped into his, entwining the pair as they walked. "please." The soft words caught at the back of her throat as her ice cold hands squeezed his warm ones.

"You're freezing." He pulled her in close to him: sharing warmth which she gladly accepted.

"It's Shika…" Her voice trailed off as he shoulders slumped inwards, her shaking body held vertical by his strong arms. "He's… He's… gone. Choji, He's gone." Her fingers clung to his clothing as tears streamed down her face.

"W-what… do you mean." He whispered, the beauty in his arms convulsed as she gasped a breath through a incomprehensible babble of tears.

"A mission went wrong…he's not coming home." Her breath hitched in her throat as she cried out for her missing friend.

The strong boy stood tall allowing the girl to grieve in his arms, his salty tears fell from his eyes landing on the platinum hair beneath him.

"Look." he tilted her head upwards to the sky where dark grey clouds blocked out the moons rays. "Lets go watch the clouds."

The two proceeded to walk along the streets hand in hand, the occasional passer-by would give them their condolences as they walked to the lazy boys favourite spot.

"How?" Choji finally asked as the walked up the steps to the rooftop which Shikamaru spent most of his days.

" A freak accident, one of his paper bombs went off without warning." The blue eyed girl sat down on the much used bench while her large friend remained standing.

"Troublesome." He mumbled before a light laugh escaped his lips. "What a troublesome way to die."

"He would say something like that." She flopped back on her back and watched the clouds gather above her.

"Does the Troublesome women know?" Choji asked sitting beside her.

"Temari, yeah. She's on her way." Ino brushed the tears off her defined cheek bones.

"We would just sit up here for hours letting the world pass us by." Choji mused his eyes glazed over as he stared up into the emptiness.

"He really was a lazy guy." Ino whispered her fore arm lay across her eyes to hid the tears which fell.

"Until it involved his friends. Remember when we faced the Hidan and Kakuzu he spent hours thinking of a plan." Choji sat beside the girl, his head tilted towards the moon.

"Or when you guys went after Sasuke." Ino mused ,her teardrops staining the wood beneath her.

"Kurenai…" Choji whispered as he watched the sky. "First master now Shikamaru." He held his head in his hands moistening his palms.

"He has." Ino started. "had matured a lot in the past months." Choji lay down beside her, instinctively her hand clung to his for warmth. If she had looked at his face she would have saw the light blush which decorated his cheeks at tingling sensation contact with the beauty brought to his life.

"He was a good guy." Choji watched the sky as rain drops fell from the sky. "And an even better friend."

"Even the sky weeps." Ino whimpered as the rain began to pour, holding onto Chouji tightly her tears fell disguised as rain drops.

"And so they should."
