Remember
Where are you now?
In the halls of Redwall Abbey?
Wandering through Mossflower?
Or parading through Salamandastron's armory?
They were your creation, your world
And a world that I loved
You painted heroic deeds
And beautiful places
With only pen and paper
You made us laugh and cry
You gave us a reason to turn the page
You gave me my childhood
The books sit on my shelf
In memory of greatness
But the best way to honor you
Would be to read
Read your tales of bravery
And one day write our own
Remember Martin the Warrior
Remember the Abbots and Abbesses
Remember the vermin, good and bad
Remember all the feasts and songs
And most important of all
Remember Brian Jacques
My memorial to Brian Jacques. It is because of him that I want to be a writer. Never forget him.
