Disclaimer: Nothing you recognize is mine. CBS owns it all; and that's probably not a bad thing.

Author's Note: This popped into my head one day as I returned to my humble abode, commiserating with a friend of mine from upstairs. It is a mark of true sadness when I can get a pointless fluff bunny from walking up the stairs. (Ah what a little pain can do to the creative mind…)

Beginner's Luck

Lady Artemis of the Lake

"Ow." Catherine groaned, rotating her left hip in little circles. "That's the last time I ever go out and do anything with you. I think I dislocated something."

Sara grinned, flopping down onto her couch. "Your first time is always the hardest. You'll get better, I promise."

"Are you crazy? I just can't move like that."

The brunette laughed, "Now that's something I never thought I'd hear you say." Catherine stood and began to limp towards the door, wincing every time her left foot hit the ground.

"You know," Sara began to lecture, getting up to follow her. "You've already got two of the things that beginners usually struggle with."

"Oh?" Catherine scoffed, "And those are?"

"Balance," Sara said, sliding an arm around her waist, "and flexibility."

"Then how the hell did I dislocate my hip?" Catherine muttered irritably.

"I don't know," Sara mused, "But maybe you should lie down."

Catherine grinned as she allowed herself to be led back to the couch. "I'm in pain, baby. Don't get any ideas." Sara pouted melodramatically. Catherine grinned evilly, stretching herself out on her right side. "It's all your fault anyway."

"But I didn't do anything!" Sara protested, and then sunk down into an armchair to continue to admire her view.

"Stop that!" Catherine scolded, throwing a pillow at the younger woman's face.

Catching the pillow, Sara grinned cheekily, "Can you blame me?"

"Yes." Catherine pouted, "You made me go to Tae Kwon Do with you."
