Hey guys, this is my first story i've written. I hope you like it and i'll be posting another story as soon as possible. But until then, this is it! Enjoy! -PartyLikeAMutant.
Max sat on the porch trying to calm down and get away from all the chaos happening inside. She sat there zoning out on a flower petal that had landed on her lap. Since Fang left the time seemed to stop, like reality was frozen over.
She had no one to protect her. No one to talk to in secrecy when everyone else was asleep. No one to love. Her heart felt like it was shattered. She wanted to just crawl into Fang's arms and fall into what felt like an endless sleep, like she'd use to after a brain-attack. But he's gone and not coming back.
For a split second she decided she was going to run away. But she knew she couldn't. She had a Flock to protect and a world to save. A single tear ran down her cheek as the wind blew the petal away.
Jeb had always told her that she was destined to do great things. But he never explained all the loss and regret that came with it.
Fang was sitting on the edge of a cliff, watching the waves from the ocean crash into the rocks. That alone could describe what Fang was feeling.
He'd left Max and the rest of the Flock only a couple of days ago, but there was already a whole in his heart that would never be filled again.
A flower petal gently fell onto Fang's lap. He lifted it up and smiled, knowing that Max had seen it too. This gave Fang hope and peace of mind. He closed his eyes and dropped the petal into the ocean.
