Tsukasa: Don't own anything!
Ok, I will admit to being a recent and hidden fan of He-Man, after seeing the 2002 series while waiting for Zoids to come on in seventh grade. So this is mostly 2002 verse with Queen Marlena still being an astronaut from Earth.
So Enjoy: 'Hell Hath No Fury'
Hell Hath No Fury
Skeletor was, once again, attacking Eternos with his many minions. Marlena didn't know what it was he was after but she would guess it was,
A) To weaken the masters so he could capture Grayskull in some insane plot to rule Eternia
B) To destroy the palace and Randor in some insane plot to rule Eternia
Or,
C) To draw He-Man out in some insane plot of revenge with subsequent capturing of Grayskull and the conquering of Eternia.
Marlena sighed resignedly from the sidelines. Randor would never let her fight, yet yelled at his only heir whenever he got himself to safety.
'Adam, what happened?' the queen wondered. Granted, the boy had always been more laid back than his father would have liked, she could see a change in Adam over the past few months after the Mystic Wall had fallen unleashing Skeletor upon the rest of the world once again. That, oddly enough, coincided with Adam's 16th Birthday and the first appearance of He-Man.
"AHHHH!" Marlena as ripped out of her thoughts by a pain filled scream.
One of her worst nightmares was unfolding in front of her eyes.
Skeletor was laughing as he stood over the prone form of Adam, who was badly injured from Skeletor's attack. Marlena began to see red as Skeletor continued to laugh.
Skeletor left after half his minions were captured (as usual), leaving the Queen to hover over her injured child as her rage still simmered in her veins.
Later that night in Snake Mountain,
One of the Talon Fighters landed outside of Snake Mountain with Marlena hopping out, armed to the teeth with weaponry. She strode confidently up to the large lair of villains without even a hint of fear. Strapped across her back was her son's sword, which she had 'borrowed' for this little excursion. She entered Skeletor's head quarters without a glance backwards.
Skeletor heard Trap-Jaw yell out in pain whenever a blaster bolt sent the now unconscious cyborg flying into his throne room. Standing in the doorway with a smoking gun was the Earthling Queen. What was he name? Morena? Malena? Marleya? Oh, Marlena, that was it.
"You crossed a line today, Skeletor." The Queen growled. He moved to use his Havoc Staff only to have her blast it out of his hands.
"So that's how you want to play, is it?" Skeletor asked. 'I don't need my staff to thrash the Queen anyway' he thought with a mental sneer.
No one knows, exactly what happened that night in the throne room of Snake Mountain. What is known is this,
When Marlena arrived back at the palace that night, Randor was waiting for her impatiently.
"What happened?" he asked. Her hair was a mess, she was covered in cuts and bruises, she had a pronounced limp in her left leg, she was clutching her side in pain, her right hand's knuckles were swollen and split, and she had a black eye. Across her back still hung Adam's sword, but there was evidence of its recent use. The rest of her weapons were missing or strangely damaged.
"You should see the other guy." was her smug response. With that the Queen of Eternia limped to the infirmary with a cat-that-ate-the-canary smirk firmly plastered on her face.
The End
