Alone
How lonely must you have been, to wander without a home?
How cold you must have felt to not know a soul, to be so alone?
When you wandered in the villages, seeking help, you would often roam,
Around the remote areas of the world, and were shunned, had the people known?
Places of darkness, places of light, were all the same to you, even in the night.
The humans did not accept you, from your demeanor, yet none were right.
You perceived their hostility, their mistrust of your love, your innocent soul,
For your monotone voice, your unusual calmness brought forth a maddening toll.
You left the humans; you fled to a frozen lake, for what, to drown in solitude?
Why should life end, why should you die, at such a young age, when love is nigh?
You did not seek it, you did not sense it; you did not believe it existed,
But it was there, waiting to embrace you with open arms; a teacher, a man of love.
