This was a challenge issued a while back, that I had inspiration for today. It is an extension of the strip club scene.
Enjoy!
"All for you, babe. Small price to pay to keep you out of jail."
The women kept coming, stradding Ranger, grinding against him, taking his money with seductive grins and suggestive offers before moving on. Ranger sat, blank faced, until one exceptionally pretty dark haired girl sashayed over and slid over his lap. As she did, he glanced over at me and I could swear I saw a hint of apprehension in his eyes.
"Not tonight." He told the girl, stuffing a fifty down her bra.
Her face registered absolute surprise, and her eyes bounced over to me. They shone as she turned back to him, leaning forward and pressing her breasts against his chest as she leaned to whisper in his ear. "..the one? ... girl ...you pretend ... when I ... you?"
I only caught pieces of the conversation, but they more than picked my curiosity.
"Not TONIGHT." Ranger repeated, his voice much more forceful than it had been for any of the other girls.
"It is." The girl grinned, then turned to me as she slid ever-so-slowly off of Ranger's lap. "I'm honored to meet you." She told me, before turning away, swinging her hips as she approached her next prospect.
"We watched a while longer, as Women bounced and gyrated over everyone, including Rufus. Just as I was certain Rufus was going to suffocate, he called for the bill and stood. Ranger pulled me out of my chair and we followed a safe distance behind. (yeah yeah yeah, I'm cutting time.)
"So who was she?" I asked as Ranger pulled out of the parking lot.
"Who?"
"The brunette. The one who wanted more than a lapdance." I swore that that tone I took was NOT jealousy. Thank God I wasn't under oath.
Ranger cut his eyes to me. "Why?"
"Are you sleeping with her?" I asked, trying hard to keep my tone serious.
"Are you sleeping with Morelli?" Ranger countered in a tone that told me in no uncertain terms that this conversation was over. I sat back in the seat and stared out the window, watching the street lights go by. Something was bugging me, and I couldn't quite figure out what it was. I kept bouncing back to the bits of her whispered words that I had managed to overhear.
"Wait a minute. Why was she honored to meet me?" I twisted and stared hard at Ranger's profile. His jaw locked, and suddenly it all made sense.
"Did she say you pretend she's ME when you fuck her?"
"Do you pretend Morelli's me when you fuck him?" Ranger countered again.
"Don't tell Morelli." I shot back, before I even realized what I was saying.
The brakes squealed as Ranger hit them hard. He spun to stare at me, his eyes dark and dangerous. A grin slowly spread across his features. "Babe."
