Gaz slowly walked home. She had called her father at lunch and asked him to get her a off campus pass so she could go home. She said that she was sick but physically she was fine, the sickness was in her head.

The whole thing had been planned out. She was going to go home at lunch so when Dib got home there was no way she couldn't be helped. By the time her brother would get home she would be over the stars.

Gaz slowly entered the house that for many years had caused her pain. Every night she came home with a fear of her father. Her father took out all his anger out on Dib most of the time but when he would hurt Gaz it was a lot worse then anything he had done to Dib.

It wasn't all ways that way. Gaz barely remembered when home was far from a hostel place. She remembered knee length skirts and a heavy British accent. A beautiful woman with waist length purple hair who would sit at her computer all day. Gaz could barely remember what it was like to have a mother.

Gaz looked around the house. It seemed like since her mother had died the place had become cold and unfeeling. Her father was never home and Dib was always out doing his paranormal stuff. No one had any time for Gaz. Video games helped her for a while but now it was not enough, nothing was enough anymore.

Gaz slowly walked around the house. She was looking at everything one last time. She placed the note she and finished earlier in Dib's room before walking into the bathroom. She pulled out a razor blade and a long forgotten bottle of sleeping pills.

She slowly walked into her room and sat down on her bed she slowly took the pills one by one. She soon started to feel dizzy; parts of her life began to flash before her eyes. Gaz slowly lay down. "Here I come mom," She whispered as she slipped into the darkness.

A few minutes later Membrane entered the house. It was several minutes before he ascended the stairs into his daughter's room. Just 2 minutes too late
