Disclaimer .yea .not mine .or is it?
Remus snuck out of bed and over to James s trunk. As quietly as he could without the use of light he felt for the cloak. This has been a ritual for him for a few years, even before he started Hogwarts. He found the piece of fabric and put it on before exiting the dorm silently. When going to do this is always fears waking up James, Sirius, or to a lesser degree, Peter. He knew should the smallest Marauder wake up, he would be the easiest to convince this was all a dream. Peter, after all wasn t the brightest crayon in the box.
He made it through the halls with ease. He learned long ago that at about two, patrolling stopped for the night to allow teachers some sleep befor classes in the morning. He guessed by two even the most devoted prankster would be tuck into their bed. He went to the first floor and found the 34th tile from the door. He discovered this trick in his third year. If you stomp on the tile twice a set of steps will open from it. These steps lead outside by the lake. The only down side to this method is that the steps close as the person walks though and he isn t quite sure how to open it from out here. Meaning every time he goes on this adventure he must wait for the first rays of light, signaling that the big doors are unlocked. He sat down at the lake and stared off at it for a while before remembering what he came here to do. He pulled out his wand and pushed up his sleeve and made a small line down the middle of his arm. He watched as blood flowed freely onto the ground. The wolf inside relaxed as he did this to him other arm. He did this every so often to calm the wolf down. It dislikes its prison and whenever the boy is injured it sits still and hopes the shell around him breaks. Though this means routine pain for Remus, it ends with making him more comfortable with the wolf still.
He broke free of his thoughts very fast when he heard a twig break behind him. Without turning around he knew it wasn t an animal. Animals gave him a very wide berth when he passed, they feared him. The smell of the lake over powered the scent of the intruder. Remus gripped his wand tightly and spun around. Levicorpus was on the brim of his lips but stopped just in time to see who the figure was. He lowered his wand and wondered just how long Sirius has been watching before making a sound Sirius opened and closed his mouth several times before actually speaking. I don t know why you do this, I actually don t care why. Just know that me and Pete, and James are here whenever you want to talk. He kissed Remus very lightly on the lips before walking away. Remus turned around and saw the first peak of sun and smiled, before following Sirius to the door.
