I felt like this song really spoke of how Haley could of felt if Hotch was the one who wanted to end the marriage instead of her. She proves that she can live without Hotch being a part of her life.

He wondered how she'd take it when he said she might do some cryin': lose some sleep at he had no idea, when he hit the road,That without him in her life, she'd let herself go.

The day Aaron told her good-bye, Haley moved on her with her life not letting herself get emotional when he left because he wanted to end the marriage not her. Her whole life she had spent being married to him and yet all that was gone with a matter of seconds. She had gone onto a single's cruise with her sister Jessica and some friends to just mingle and enjoy herself while she had the chance to do so. A Single's Cruise was something she had never thought of going on until the day her marriage ended and felt like a change she needed to do something instead of just sitting the house. She flew to Vegas then to Honolulu with her friends and had the time of her life with the friends she had always been closed to. She even enjoyed a trip to the spa feeling more relaxed than ever, never worrying about poured her heart an' soul into their three-bedroom her days raisin' babies, ironin' his home one day from the grocery store and found his note,And without him there to stop her, she let herself go.

She made the changes that she wanted in the house to be like something they wanted it to be and even doing small things to make it her own. The day Jack was born changed her life forever spending time raising their son while Aaron was out working on a cast and ironed his pants every chance she got when he was home. She came home from the grocery store and found his name saying that he didn't love her no more, ending what they had shared for over twenty years together.

She went on first blind date that Jessica and had the best time meeting someone who was different, allowing herself to get close to someone new. At the lake, she had the time of her with the her friends since it was just them and they laughed and cried about the old times they remembered over the years. She went off and bought herself a car, not needing Aaron to help her pick out the perfect car.
