KaleidoStar does not belong to me, I make no claim to it, just my random idea for the story, which was written for my friend Bonnie, who wanted me (and a few others) to write a KS fanfic. Since I haven't written fanfic in awhile, and never for KS, I wasn't sure how it would go. But a boring class can do wonders for your inspiration. So I present to you a KaleidoStar drabble.

Flying

By: Lazuli

Sora sat on the edge of the platform, eyes half shut. She would be up here later tonight, in full performance gear, but for now she could just relax in an old practice leotard. The stage was empty at the moment, but soon would be filled with the chaos of getting ready for tonight's performance. It was at these moments that she felt her best; the suspension between steadiness and flight.

It was like when she flew through the air during the show, feet never touching solid ground until the crowd jumped to its feet with applause. It was in those moments, where nothing existed but the concentration of her movements that she recalled everything she went through to get this far.

But the flight was far from over, and she didn't mind not being able to plant her feet firmly on the ground. She would be there one day—there was no need to rush it.
