Disclaimer: X-men aren't mine! If it was, then Remy would've been in all of the films, I would've made Rogue more likeable and less self pitying, and.. yeah, that kinda explains why I don't own it ;L

Right, well, I apologise in advance if I'm awful at updating, but I've already got chapter two in the works ;).

Characters: Gambit, Cyclops, Jean, Bobby, Hank, Bishop, Xavier- and I'm sure a few more that I really can't be bothered to put right now. Enjoy!

Red on black eyes looked at the living entity (for it couldn't be called human) in front of him with undisguised boredom.

"Remington! So you did survive the cold wasteland you were abandoned in." The corners of his mouth twisted upwards- his attempt at a smile, but even then he managed to twist it into something evil and unrecognisable.

"Oui, Sinister, I did." His tone of voice was one of bored indifference.

"Yes, well, I take it you're going to come back to your real home, with me. You know you'll always be welcome there, avec moi."

" Non, Sinister, I wouldn't go with you if my life depended on it." The words were accentuated with a long suffering sigh.

"Oh, but where will you go?" Sinister's voice was filled with fake concern.

" Je ne sais pas, but anywhere's better than your God forsaken lab, non?" His words were met with a flash of anger.

"Do you know what I did for you? I removed a bit of your brain, 7 years later and you still aren't grateful? I saved you from yourself!" A shrug was all he got in return. "Very well. But don't come crying to me when you have nowhere to go." His words were clipped with the effort of not shouting, and he back to walk away, only to stop when he began to glow a lurid pink.

"Sinister, I thought I'd always be welcome! Ah well. But you should be more polite, mon ami."

Sinister turned to face the man. "How are you doing that? It shouldn't be possible! I remove-"

" Oui, you did, but surely you're aware of the brief…loss of powers to all mutants? Well.. when mine came back… All of my power came back. Just imagine what I was able to do with just the 5% of power left, now I have… so much more.." There was a maniacal glint in his eyes. "The world better look out, Gambit's back in town. Now, au revoir, mon ami, and say bonjour to le diable for me? Merci."

"Professor, why are we here?" Rogue asked, impatient as ever. The professor though, didn't seem to mind.

"I called you here because we've been receiving messages of gratitude-"

"So? We should, I mean, we save everyone on a regular basis" Bobby cut across the professor, smirking.

"Yes, Bobby. However, we're being thanked for… 'getting rid of' Sinister." There was a stunned silence in the war room, everyone taking in the news of Sinister's death.

"I don't mean to sound really obvious or anything, but we didn't kill him. Not that I'm not glad he's dead, of course- but.. we didn't do it." Bobby spoke once again and Logan snorted.

"Well done, captain obvious."

" I didn't even know you could kill Sinister." Scott said, frowning.

"This could be a ploy to flush the X-men out, so if he does attack we won't be expecting it. How do we even know he's dead?" Bishop put forward.

"Cos I killed him, mon amis."
