As the bus pulled up to your stop, Lia Beilschmidt made her way off, dragging her feet. Her face was fallen and her head hung as she walked yourself home.

"Hey, sweetheart, how was school today?" Feliciano called as she walked in the door.

"Terrible," she replied, her voice breaking quietly as she hung her bag up.

Feliciano's face fell, and he put his hands on the girl's shoulders. "Whatever happened, Lia, it can't have been that bad! C'mon, why don't you talk to Papa about it?" he asked softly, leading her into the living room and sitting on the sofa with her.

"Yeah, don't let those mean kids get to you," Feliciano added. "Because you know what they said isn't true!"

Lia broke away from Ludwig and smiled a weak smile. "Ok," she sniffed, turning to face Feliciano.

He smiled back and placed one hand on her shoulder. "You've had a rough day, Lia, so I think you need some cheering up! How about I make your favourite, pasta e piscelli for dinner?" he asked.

His daughter smiled and followed him into the kitchen as he searched for the ingredients…
