This is an interview of the author Terry Lynch. My name is Arnold and my name will be abbreviated to "A" and I will be abbreviating Terry's to "T"
(A) So Terry, how long have you been writing for?
(T) I've been writing seriously for about 19 years now. However the Terry Lynch pen name came about when I released my first Terry Lynch story, which was Elmer Fudd: One Dud Too Many
(A) 19 years you say? What else do you write outside of the Terry Lynch pen name?
(T) Well, I can't divulge my true identity due to publishers and my own shame. But I will say you may be able to find some of my work in your local book store and on Amazon, Audible included. However the genres I mainly write in consist of suspense, horror, mystery and science fiction.
(A) sounds like quite an astonishing career! So tell me, what inspired you to start up Terry Lynch?
(T) I think I have a rather interesting answer to your inquiry.
Picture your writing a sci fi, mystery, thriller and you have keep track of every miniscule detail. You eventually get severe tunnel vision, and the stress of multi tasking to such an intense degree only amplifies the strain. So that's where Terry Lynch comes in. I've heard of authors keeping a guitar or instrument next to their writing space in case of their creative juices running dry. Shifting your focus from one thing to another like that really helps you refocus. I suppose writing for Terry Lynch does the same for me. In my primary writing career i'm certainly a plotter. all sign posts within my stories are carefully placed and planned, chapters before they're even written. Terry lynch is the opposite for me. I shift into a pantser mindset when I write a Terry Lynch story. that's my equivalent to a guitar. It completely shifts my mind and leaves me refreshed to continue writing my others tales
(A) Wow, what an interesting way to put it! Does anybody in your day to day life know about the Terry Lynch content?
(T) Only a few close friends and acquaintances within my author circle are aware of the Terry Lynch side of things. Authors are usually reclusive so I can trust them with my secrets for the most part, and they can trust me aswell, though sometimes I let their dirty laundry out in my own sick way. Let me just say, Even thought I use popular cartoon characters in my stories, some of the scenarios I present are closer to reality than you would think.
(A) I can definitely see that! What are the origins of the Terry Lynch Pen name?
(T) This is a quite simple question to answer. My all time favorite film director is David Lynch, His films really inspire my creativity. That's the surname aspect of the pen name, the Terry part of it comes from an appreciation I have towards the mentally inept. That's a whole other story however.
(A) Intriguing, What can we expect from Terry Lynch in the future?
(T) Plenty more cerebral tales of lust amongst other human vices. I just recently completed another novel that has been submitted for publishing and is currently pending. I don't start working on a new book until The one before it is officially published to the world. So during my break from day job writing, I can focus on my after dark plots if you catch the drift. So plenty more Terry Lynch stories are in the works.
(A) Great to hear! How long on average does it take you to create a Terry Lynch story?
(T) I almost always compete a Terry Lynch story in 20 minutes or less, Occasionally I do hit the hour mark though.
(A) Amazing! Any last comments?
(T) I would just like to thank everyone that gleams any sort of enjoyment from my tales. It makes my day when I see people leave comments on my page about how they loved one of my pieces or when they DM me telling me my stories helped them through a hard time. Thank you
(A) Well that's all I have for you! Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule for this interview!
