Well. This is my first attempt. It's awfully short! Please forgive me for that; it's late.

It was hard watching him die. She wanted so desperately to help him- to alleviate any pain he felt. She just didn't want to get any closer and have him leave her before she was ready. He calls her "siha". It's weird at first. It makes her nervous, but she stomachs the feeling. As uncomfortable as it makes her, she's just a tad bit happier about it. She continues to visit him.
Should she be happy?
Does she deserve to be happy? She was once. Though, after Horizon, she focused on other things. Reapers and Cerberus topped the list; all the other things that followed, she tried to avoid. She couldn't deal with anger she felt towards Kaidan. She didn't like the feelings bubbling up for Thane. She had things to do and lives to save. There wasn't time for sensitivity and understanding. Kaidan had made himself very clear. Thane makes things only more confusing. Still, she'd prefer the distraction of the master assassin over the clarity of man who wants nothing to do with her anymore.
"Siha."
She arches into his touch. He grips her gently; his left hand traces the contours of her body and the other traces her slightly chapped lips. She knows these hands are not his. This voice, calling her "siha", is not his. She burrows further into it- into the man above her. She takes his face in her hands and looks at it. This face is not his either. What is she looking for?
She realizes that she doesn't want the answer. At least, she doesn't want it yet. What she wants- needs- is right here. Thane hasn't left her yet (but at the back of her mind, she knows he will soon) and that's something. She kisses him hard and pulls him to her by the back of his head. He follows her lead and returns the kiss.
He is not Kaidan. Thane kisses his way down her neck. He is not Kaidan. She shudders and lets out a moan. He is not Kaidan. "Siha. I love you." He is not Kaidan. She squeezes her eyes closed. "I love you too".
He is not Kaidan.
