Warning: Shonen-ai

Quatre ran up the stairs, praying that he wasn't too late. "Please," he pleaded. "Still be here . . ."

Gasping for breath, he reached the door and banged on it. No one answered, so he tried the door handle. It turned easily and the door swung open.

Heart catching in his throat, Quatre gazed at the barren room. "He left . . ." he breathed, tears stinging his eyes. "He left without saying goodbye."

Quatre slowly entered the abandoned room and sat on the bed. His eyes stared blankly out the window, not really seeing anything. His mind barely able to work, trying to figure out why he had left without telling him.

Sighing, he got up and walked over to the window. Maybe he would see him again, someday. Then, he could tell him just how much he meant to him.

As he was looking out the window, he saw something that brought a smile to his face. It was him! He had just come out of the library, and was walking towards the bus stop.

Pushing away from the window, he ran out of the room so fast that Quatre almost tripped over his own feet. Throwing the exit open, he stumbled outside and looked around wildly trying to find him.

He was strolling down the sidewalk, about a block away. "Trowa," he whispered. Slow steps forward broke into a breakneck run. "Trowa!" Quatre yelled, trying to get his attention.

Trowa turned to look at Quatre, and a smile broke the frown that was on his face. Quatre cried out as he ran up to Trowa, and threw his arms around him. Burying his face in his neck, he sobbed as his love held him. "I thought that you left without saying goodbye."

Gentle hands caressed the back of Quatre's head as Trowa soothed him. "Shh. I wouldn't leave without saying goodbye to you." OWARI

Author's notes: I had a dream. And to keep the names of the original players safe, I decided to place Trowa and Quatre in my . . . er . . . those persons who shall remain nameless, well, their places (whew, I saved that one). It was a really sweet dream, and I had to write about it. If I get time in the future, I might write out the whole dream, including the original cast. What do you think? Should I?
