Madge's Point of View

"Father! DON'T YOU SEE IT? THE WHOLE ENTIRE COUNTRY IS FALLING APART!" I screamed in my Father's face.
"It isn't falling apart, there are minor things that need to change!" Father yelled back.
"Snow has brainwashed you! Even Mother thinks so!" I screamed as I ran out of the house.

I sprinted down the road, tears flying from my cheeks into the air. Panem is horrible. I just hate stupid Snow, and my Father. Why can't he understand? I heard a loud siren coming from the back of my head. I looked up at the sky and screamed as I watched a hovercraft drop a bomb on my home.

"MOMMY! DADDY!" I shrieked as I sprinted to my now destroyed house. I grabbed a piece of brick and kept digging through the rubble. I came across a hand, and saw the marriage ring on it.
"Mommy," I sobbed as I pulled her from the debra. She was full of wounds and blood, and she had no pulse. I laid my face into her chest and cried.

"Why did you have to d-die?" I moaned. Her blue eyes were open, and her blonde hair red from a gash on the side of her head. I closed her eyes and picked her head up, giving her a small kiss on the forehead.

"I love you Momma," I sobbed as I sat there.
"Madge! Get out of there!" I heard a familiar voice sound. I turned around to see Gale, standing there. He had cuts and wounds all over his body. He helped me up, but didn't say anything. He just grabbed me and hugged me. I sobbed as my face was in his chest.

He pulled me off and put his fingers on my face, examining my cuts and scratches. I pulled his hands away.

"I'm fine, we need to get out of-" I was cut off my an impact that sent us flying. My head hit the ground, and I heard a terrible ringing in the back of my head. It was blurry, but Gale was in my face, yelling something but I couldn't hear.

He picked me up, and everything went dark.

Gale's Point of View

"What happened?" A man asked as I ran into the hovercraft.
"She hit her head during a bomb drop, she needs medical attention," I yelled. The man grabbed her and brought her over to a metal table.
"I need back up. She is going into shock," the man yelled at other patients. They surrounded her. One woman put a oxygen mask on her, the other woman doing compressions. Another man hooked up a heart system, and suddenly there was a consistent beat.
"She's alive. When we get to 13 she will go into the hospital," the man mentioned. I sighed in relief. The medical helpers walked away to help someone else, and I walked up to Madge.

She was asleep, and her hair was full of blood and dirt. Her shirt, was ripped up, exposing her white bra. Her face was still wet from tears.

"Gale?" I heard a whisper.
"Madge!" I cried as I noticed her sapphire eyes staring at me.
"Was I dreaming? Are my parents alive?" She said wiping her eyes.
"I'm afraid not," I sighed. Her face fell, but she didn't cry.
"What was all of that?" Madge asked.
"The capitol attacked us. It was probably about Katniss and the rebellion," I told her.
"What rebellion?" She asked.
"Katniss escaped the arena. She was taken to district 13, and thats where we are heading," I mentioned.
"Peeta?" Her face looked worried.
"The Capitol captured him and Joanna," I said wiping the blood from her cheek.

She didn't say anything else. She turned onto her side and sobbed into her hands.
