I decided I would finally make use of my FF account and actually write something. Will be rated T or M later. Death Note is not mine.

Christmas was just around the corner, and Mello was disappointed because inflation was getting the best of him this holiday season. He wanted to get the Wii for Matt so he might suggest them spending more time together in Matt's interest. Matt also had some problems. He had always gotten Mello chocolate for Christmas because he never seemed to speak up about what he wanted that year.
They were both in Matt's apartment, Matt playing his DS, Mello on the computer. They never really talked, but at this very moment, they were both thinking about the gift issues.
"Mello," Matt asked. "What do you want this year?" Mello didn't answer for awhile, but he simply said, "I don't know." "Well, I kind of figured you didn't want chocolate a-" "I appreciate that you get me chocolate, and I love it. But I don't know what I actually want." Mello interrupted Matt in the middle of his sentence. Then Matt said "I understand."

Extra Notes;
I was hoping for more to come out of this, but so far this is gonna be it for Chapter 1. The next chapter might have to wait until after New Years, because my school break isn't until Christmas Eve and I'm still behind on school.
