I don't own Neopets.

Many years ago, there was a large field of land inhabited by monsters, over the snow-capped mountains separating it from The Lost Desert. The land was vast and fertile, right next to a sea for fishing.

But no one lived there. The monsters were vicious and greedy; merciless.

Soon, however, a brave group of adventurers cleared the land. They named their leader, a young lupe, king. He took his role, with a council of eleven, being the group of twelve who started the kingdom named Altador, after the lupe.

The top five council members were Torakor, the gladiator, Fauna, the petpet gatherer, Kelland, the quick, Gordos, the collector, and one other whom we don't speak her name any longer.

The Darkest Faerie. She, along with the other legends, and Marak the Wave, Florin, the Farmer, Siyana, the First to Rise, Psellia, the Dreamer, and Sasha, the Dancer, ruled the city fairly and justly.

Years past. The kingdom flourished, fishing bountiful, farming successful, and hard-working citizens peacefully working together in harmony.

The only one who found something wrong was The Darkest Faerie.

She began to notice the other legends growing older. While they weren't elderly by any means, she began to thought that her, being immortal, should be the only, single monarchy of the city. A dark plan began to form, only to be discovered by Jerdana. Upon hearing of the Dark One's treacherous crime, Altador and the other legends banished her forever from the land, and the twelve legends became eleven.

The Darkest Faerie left furiously, promising revenge. She went off, angry and unsure of what to do. The kingdom went on without her, which made her madder.

She began to wonder, why was she, an all-powerful faerie, subject to the mere law of neopets?

The Dark One came back to the city- powerful and merciless, and attempted to destroy the City of Altador. The other legends were unprepared for such an attack, but Jerdana managed to get the entire city into a time bubble that made time move much, much slower than the outside world. Now that Altador was out of her reach, The Darkest Faerie finally lost all sanity, and was about to spread her dark magic onto other lands, before Fyora, the faerie queen, trapped her in stone using a necklace made by Jerdana.

The Dark One fell to the sea, sinking deep into what is now the ruins of Old Maraqua. Everyone forgot about her, and Altador.

She sat undisturbed for one thousand years, before the necklace's wire became so eroded it fell apart, dropping the red little orb that kept the dark faerie captive onto the sandy ocean bottom.

First the stone over her eyes popped open, glowing a malevolent red.

Above the surface, a massive storm brewed to harold her return.

After so many years of slumber under the sea, the Darkest Faerie had returned...
