The second security guard ran in shouting "Hands Up!".
Jedikiah tried to TK-blast the guy but nothing happened. He bent down and picked up the gun, and shot the guard. /I was quick, but that guy should have shot me several times while I did that!/
As he ran into the Machine room, Jedekiah was horrified at Roger in the rotating Machine with energy clouds flaring.
"No, no, I have to get you out of here." said Jedikiah, trying not to panic.
"Stay Back!" yelled Roger, "You come any closer and you'll be the first to die! You're human."
"I failed you." desperation evident in Jedikiah's voice.
"You haven't faild me yet, you can still stop this." said Roger.
Jedikiah looked slowly at the gun. "No! I'm not going to kill you, Roger!"
"Of course you don't have to kill ME you idiot! Shoot the Machine!"
"Oh!" Jedikiah turned and shot out one of the displays.
"NO you dummy! Shoot the Machine! Not the monitors!" shouted Roger. /Stupid Hollywood!/
"Oh." said Jedikiah before shooting at things that looked important, hoping they were shining with light because of function, and not decoration.
Multiple alarms went off, The Machine shut down.
Jed rushed in and unhooked the straps frantically.
Bathory rushed in, goon squad behind. "No, No, NO! You've ruined it! Finish them!"
Shots rang out as Roger reached his hand and grabbed Jed's hand, then the vanished.
They appeared in a room, and Roger collapesed. Jed noticed blood pooling on the floor. "Quick, get us to a hospital!"
"Can't..." moaned Roger. "You know, Bathory really is an idiot...Doesn't he like living in civilization?..."
Then he was gone.
A/N: That scene really annoyed me.
