"Where will I go?" The pounding of feet sounded, as the gun shots got louder. "Where will I run to?" A boy around 9 years old and his younger brother ran for their life, tears rolling down their cheeks, as their golden and dirty blond hair flew behind them. "Nii-sama, I'm scared..." The younger boy whimpered. "Will I live?" The older boy just turned with big golden eyes, widened as he did. "AL WATCH OU-" BANG "Will..." "Nii-sama!" The younger boy screamed and grabbed the closest object sharp enough to pierce skin, and threw it, tears streaming down his sad, confused, and angry face. The guy who shot the older brother, got hit directly in the head, and died, blood spraying everywhere. "Nii-sama..." The boy started to shake. "NII-SAMA! DONT LEAVE ME!" "...Al... Don't ... Shout please..." A weak hand, dirty and bloody trembled and somehow managed to grab the younger brothers hand. "Nii-sama...!" "please...Al...Don't cry...smile for me..please..." The hand fell, and the younger brother screamed out his name. "NII-SAMA! ED! EDWARD!" "... Will... He live..?" "EDWARD ELRIC!" Then the older brother, Edward Elric, started to feel his life fading away... "Good bye...A...l...smi...le...for...m...e..." With that, he closed his eyes and stopped breathing, awaiting his fate.
"NOOOOOOOOOO! NII-SAMAAAAAA!" the most dreadful pain drenched screams and shouts could be heard all around. "Ed...please...dont do this to me, your kidding, right...? Ed, this isn't funny..." The younger Elric shook the oldests shoulder. The older Elric has not moved. "Nii-sama, come on... please, this... this.. this is.. a joke, right? Come on, wake up already, your scaring me..." The younger Elric once again shook the older Elrics shoulder again, but harder. Edwards hair flew back and forth as Alphonse shook him harder, but Ed didn't even flinch. "No..." Alphonse quickley grabbed his older brothers arm, checking for his pulse. He found none. "No...this can't be happening..no..." Alphonse started to shake. "N-no! That was me supposed to get shot, not my brother! Bring him back... BRING MY ONLY BROTHER BACK! HE IS THE ONLY ONE I HAVE LEFT!" Alphonse quickly sank to the ground. "Nii-sama..." His last words echoed in his head, hauntingly.
"Good bye...A...l...smi...le...for...m...e..." "NO! NII-SAMA WILL LIVE!" "How do you know that?" A dangerous voice said behind him. "W-who are you?! What do you want?!" The shadow stepped out, revealing a small boy, almost his age. "My name is pride. And what I want is none of your concern." The boy looked at the fallen boy behind Alphonse. "No, your..YOUR NOT GOING TO TAKE HIM!" The boy smirked. "How did you know?" With that, the small boy suddenly was surrounded with eyes with mouths, that started to advance to the Elric brothers.
