Couldn't Fix
Here's another short drabble based on the same AU of If Only with Kagome and Sesshoumaru, where Kagome belongs to InuYasha, Sesshoumaru's brother yet Sesshoumaru can't seem to get Kagome off of his mind. In this drabble both Kagome and Sesshoumaru try to find an escape from their intimate thought of the other. Anyway, as always, R&R, tell me if you like it or even if you hate it I don't care.
P.S. I don't own InuYasha, if I did he wouldn't be so much of a pain.
The night air surrounded him, it filled his lungs with a renewed drive, it was everything to him yet it didn't clear his mind. It didn't rid him of the images that haunted his every waking moment. All he could see was her eyes, her lips, the lines that made up the gentle slope of her face. And yes he did know that he could never have her, never touch those luscious full lips, never feel the softness of her skin, and never look deep into those blue-gray eyes just to lose himself in the ocean that was her. What fates had chosen him to meet her first? By what grace of god did this brash, immature, crude boy receive the gift of her presence, her touch. He cursed the very ground that the luck bastard walked on, cursed his reserved nature. Would he forever be temped by her tanned skin, soft and tantalizing? It was all he could do to keep from throwing logic to the wind and taking what didn't belong to him. And no amount of air could undue the longing, he was stuck with a problem he couldn't fix.

She ran through the forest, dark hair trailing behind her as the night air caressed her face, dancing in her hair and filling her lungs with the cool refreshing bliss, it was wonderful, the night sky above her, and the green undergrowth that she passed with every hurried step. It was suppose to make her forget, it was suppose to wash away his face, to clear her head of everything she knew she couldn't have, but it didn't. For every step she took deeper into the underbrush, his chiseled image didn't seem to wade; it just grew stronger and stronger until she couldn't ignore him anymore. Not his strong jaw-line, nor his golden stare, amber eyes so similar yet so different, silver hair long and smooth, so alike yet so dissimilar. He was the god she could never have all because she hadn't met him first. He hadn't charmed her away with a crude smile and a brash nature. No, he had been cool and collected, withdrawn from the world. But it didn't matter now, she couldn't be with him, she could only stare from a far watching, never touching. And no matter how hard or how far she ran, she couldn't leave the longing behind, she was stuck with a problem she couldn't fix.
