I once grew up in a small village, called Suna that was in the middle of a desert. I was happy there and had a good life. Sadly, I had to leave when I was 18 to go to a different village, because one of my friends got severely hurt. After a couple of years, I was finally able to come back. It was great to be able to be home again.
Even though it had been years since I last saw it, it was exactly the same, with the exception of a few new houses every here or there. "She is here! She's home!" I heard a few people yell. That's when I saw Temari and Kankuro in the crowd. They both gave me great, big hugs; Temari even tackled me to the ground. That's also when I noticed a missing face. "Where's Gaara? Is it true then?" I asked a little scared. They both simply nodded.
They made me follow them to a huge building that I hadn't seen in forever. It was the Kazekage's building. We walked through the maze like halls and up quite a few flights of stairs, until we finally came to a door at the top. "It leads to the roof. That's where he spends a lot of his time." Temari said.
I just nodded, not sure what to say. As I walked through the door, they started to walk away. It was a great view from up there. It was really beautiful especially when the sun was about to set. There he was. He turned around and smiled at me, opening his arms to me.
I immediately ran to give him a hug. I was silently crying then whispered, "I missed you, Gaara-kun." I could tell he was smirking when I heard him reply, "I missed you too. It's been too long, Masouka." We sat there in a comfortable silence. I felt so happy. "Gaara . . . I . . . I just w-wanted to say . . ." I stopped not sure how to go on.
He slightly chuckled, making me look up at his face. "I know. I love you too, Masouka." He simply said before he kissed me. I blushed, but immediately kissed back. I was in love with the Kazekage. And he loved me back. I felt that my life was complete. We sat kissing in the moonlight of our shining moon romance.
I hope you liked my first little short story!
