It's just not fair anymore. You were normal. Until you were thrown into a different life, a game of sorts. Something you were supposed to win and forget. But you didn't. That was nearly a year ago. The aftermath was horrendous. The toll on your minds was an amazing amount. So much so that Feferi almost killed herself. Gamzee doped himself up, and eventually died from an overdose. Nepeta went silent, and only spoke to Equius. You are Jade Harley, and you are slowly losing it.

Jade woke up, her head groggy from her sleeping pills that she took. She ran her hands through her hair, and shoved her glasses on. She slowly got dressed in one of her numerous outfits she still had from the game. Her God Tier outfit, which still fit her. She no longer had the ears to show for it, but instead had a puppy version of Bec. All of their guardians were still dead, although her grandfather was dead before the start. She didn't want to go outside today and meet everybody. She instead grabbed her watering can and tended to her plants sitting in the window sill. It was thirty past twelve. Good. She was past time to meet them. She didn't want to see them. They were all fine off without her, and had sane minds. They were all fine and rolled right back into life after the game. She kicked over an empty glass sitting next to her, and it smashed against the wall. She dropped her watering can and went to the bathroom grabbing a pair of scissors on the way. She held up her hair and chopped a foot off of her hair, leaving it right at her shoulders. She chopped her bangs shorter and hacked at her hair until her anger was gone. Then came a knock at her door. Another couple came in quick succession. Jade locked her bathroom door and slid her back against the side of it, tears forming in the corners of her eyes.

The door to her apartment opened with a bang and flew against the wall. "Jade. We know you're in here. Yes, please come out. Come on Jade this is the third time you've skipped on us. Tell us what's up." The voices were all different. All three of them. It was Rose, Dave and John. She pulled her hood over her head and her head in her lap. Tears fell on her sleeve and her sobs became increasingly loud. She felt the doorknob jiggle and knew someone was picking the lock. She stood up as the door opened softly and Rose was facing her, Dave and John standing behind her. She looked at Jade then her eyes darted to the floor at all the hair.

"Jade." Rose said reaching her hand out to the girl. "Come on out of there, you have some explaining to do."

Jade slowly stepped forward taking Rose's hand. She heard her front door click shut softly, and her deadbolt being turned. She wiped off her glasses and sank down into her couch and held Bec on her lap. She put her face into his soft fur and looked up. She slowly slipped her hood off and saw a shocked look on Johns face. "I-I'm sorry I skipped on you guys. I just don't feel right hanging out with you anymore. I mean look at me." Jade said getting up from the couch. "I chopped my hair off and broke a bunch of stuff." She set Bec down on the floor.

"I'm a nobody. I'm a nothing." And with that she ran out her apartment door with her hair tucked into her hood.
