This is the story of a girl
Who cried a river and drowned the whole world
And while she looked so sad in photographs
I absolutely love her when she smiles
A male in Hogwarts looked at a magical picture of a girl. She was crying, than smiling. According to a very old legend, the girl cried so much that she cried up the Finger Lakes in NY. The male looked at the picture. Every time she smiled, his heart leapt a beat. He didn't want to admit it, but he was in love with a girl in a photograph.
How many days in the year she woke up with hope
But she only found tears
He thought about the girl. About how many days she must have woke up with hope for a better day- a day with no tears, than ended up in tears. Of course, no one knew why she cried every day.
Actin' so insincere
Making the promises never for real
There were many legends about the girl. About how so deceitful she was. How she made promises, but didn't keep them. He didn't care about these legends. He still loved her.
As long as she stands there waiting
Wearing the holes in soles of her shoes
How many days disappear
There were other legends to. About how she use to wait for the day to pass over. For a new day to come. She waited so many days… And wore out so much time.
You look in the mirror so how do you choose
Your clothes never wear as well the next day
And your hair never falls out quite the same way
You never seem to run out of things to say
He looked in to the mirror. His clothes weren't as comfortable as yesterday, his hair was different, but all these words came to mind if the girl in the photograph was standing right in front of him.
This is the story of a girl
Who cried a river and drowned the whole world
And while she looked so sad in photographs
I absolutely love her when she smiles
He looked at the photograph. She was crying. He thought of the legend. The girl looked so sad. She smiled. His heart leapt.
How many lovers would stay
Just to put up with this s*** day after day
If some else were in his position, he'd ignore her and go find another. But yet, he stayed, loving the girl in the photograph.
How do we wind up this way
Watchin' the mouths for the words I would say
How'd he end up like this? Loving a girl in a photograph? If he met her, he wondered what he would say. He'd have to watch her.
As long as we stand here waiting
Wearing the clothes of the soles I would chose
How do we get there today
If we're walkin' to far from the price of the shoes
He'd have to wait. Wait for the right person to come. Of course, he didn't want her to be to far away from the girl in the photo. Maybe he'd just love the girl in the photo for the rest of his life- even if he could see her.
