Chapter 1-Transfer student

A bluenette sat in a classroom full of students as they copied the equations that were being written on the board. The boys emerald eyes glanced up at the clock. Only ten more minutes until school was over! The teacher stopped writing to look at the red book she held in her hand. After that she continued to explain the answer to the question that they were doing.

The teacher had long wavy brown hair that was tied in a loose ponytail. She had thin rimmed glasses that sat on the edge of her nose and her big brown eyes scanned the contents of the book that she held in one of her slender hands. She wore a simple black skirt and a white blouse that looked like it was made for her. She wore thin tan-tights and black, comfy heels.

Suddenly a buzz came from the boy's, Johan's, pocket. The boy wiped out his sleek black phone to read the message that he had just received. It was from Jim.

Hey pal r u free this afterskul?

Johan grinned to himself and began to text back his reply. Yh y is there something interesting happening?

Unfortunately Jim's phone wasn't on silent so his ringtone yelled. Miss heard and went up to Jim who was turning his phone off in a panic. "You're phone." Miss held out her hand as Jim dropped his phone in the women's hand with a huff. "Thank you and you can get it back afterschool in my office." The teacher began to walk back down and put the phone on top of the desk. Johan turned around and gave a small bow in apology but Jim just grinned like there was nothing to worry about.

After the lesson finished and class ended, Jim ran straight out the room to catch up to miss. Johan shrugged his shoulders and slipped his books into his blue rucksack. He then presided to get Jim's bag that was left forgotten in the classroom. The bluenette put away the boy's books and carried the surprisingly heavy bag with him to the teacher's office.

When the boy passed a room, he sow a girl he had never seen before inside and couldn't stop himself for taking another glance and getting closer to the window.

The girl had short spiky brown hair that was in two different shades and big brown eyes. She wore the red uniform and wore long black, knee-high socks. She had a cute red hairgrip in her hair. Johan was mesmerised but the girl's looks and couldn't get his eyes off her. She looked beautiful.

Finally the boy torn his eyes off the girl and proceeded along to hallway to reach his teachers office. Jim was inside as he rubbed at the back of his head and gave a grin as he got the phone from the teacher's hand. After adjusting his hat, Jim left the room and spotted Johan. "Hey thanks for getting my bag for me." Jim called as he slipped his phone in his pocket.

"No problem." Johan grinned. He handed the boy back his bag.

"My parents are going to kill me when I get back and I just had to sit through a lecture. I guess I should call the others to cancel the thing tonight. See ya later pal."

"Bye." Johan grinned as he watched as Jim ran to the front door.

When the bluenette reached the dorms, he dropped onto his blue bed. There was another bed on the other side of the room with the same colour covers for someone else and his room was filled with many different kinds of books. A small wooden desk was against one of the cream painted walls. It was cluttered with notebooks and pens. His bed was by the wardrobe full of neatly folded and hung clothes. A door was by the bed that lead to a small bathroom that contained a: bath, shower, sink and toilet. It had the softest towels ever known to man-kind.

The obelisk blue dorms.

Ruby, Johan's cat spirit, showed up and hopped onto the boys shoulder. "Hey ruby."

/Bi. / The spirit rubbed her head against the boy's neck.

Now that he thought about it, the girl from before looked familiar but it couldn't be… could it?

Morning came and Johan got ready for school but instead of going to school straightaway he headed to his favourite place. The school roof. He sat with Ruby on his lap and looked at the fluffy white cotton candy float by. When Johan did finally turn up to school, he found out that the girl's name was Judai Yuki and that she was going to be in most of his classes.

The boy opened the door slowly and began to creep into the room and towards his seat. However, before he reached his seat, the teacher noticed him. "Johan Andersen! What time do you think it is young man?" The teacher ordered. "Do you have a good explanation for this?"

"I'm sorry I'm late miss it's just that I got caught up in my dreams again." The bluenette rubbed the back of his head. He had accidently fallen asleep when he had gotten to the roof of the school. Johan turned to look at the girl he had seen from yesterday was now sitting in the seat, next to the bluenette, that used to have no-one there.

"Make sure you don't do it again or you will get a detention." Miss turned around and continued to write on the board with a piece of white chalk. Johan proceeded to his seat next to the brunette.

"I'm Johan Andersen. It's nice to meet you." The bluenette grinned as he opening his bag to get out his science notebook and a pen.

"I'm Judai Yuki." The girl beamed while she grabbed the boys hand so that she could give a strong but wild handshake.

Alexis jotted down some notes that seemed important or needed for the exams ahead and her big brown eyes caught sight of Johan and Yuki. They looked like they got along as soon as they laid eyes on each other. They looked perfect together but the only problem was how to get them together.

The bell went for the end of school and Judai flopped on the table. All this working had made her tired. "Judai Yuki and Johan Andersen, may I please have a word with you?" The teacher asked.

They both got to the teacher as the other students were leaving to go home or go to a club that they did. "I'm glad that you two are getting along but please don't chat too much in the classroom." The teacher smiled. "Since you two get along so well, Johan can show you around." She turned to Judai and gave her a smile. "I've heard you're already calling each other by your first names. Now you should go home today and make sure you come here early or I'll give you, Mr Andersen, twice the amount of homework." The teacher threatened.

'This is just blackmail.' The bluenette slouched however Johan was super happy that he could spend more time with Judai.

"That is all. You are dismissed." Judai and Johan watched as the teacher began to make her own way out of the classroom.

"Crap! I forgot about the others!" Johan yelled as he grabbed his bags and shoved everything he needed inside. "Let's go." Judai nodded her head and they sprinted down the halls of the school.

Finally they reached the entrance to school and sow a group of about six people were waiting. "He's finally here." They heard a moan come from one of the boys in the group. He had sharp black hair and eyes. He also wore a long black jacket over his uniform.

"Jun Manjyoume, stop being silly." Alexis crossed her arms. Both her and Jun were in the obelisk dorms with Johan.

"Those over there are my friends." The bluenette smiled. "I bet you'll get along with them."

"You bet I will." The girl grinned.

When they reached the group, Johan began to introduce everyone. "You'll already know the name of the spiky black head over there and the blonde haired girl is Alexis Rhodes. The small boy with light blue hair is called Syrus Truesdale and he had a brother called Zane. The other girl here is called Blair Flannigan and the red head is Amon Garam. The boy in a cowboy hat with the crocodile is Jim cook and the crocodiles name is Shirley. And the last is Daichi Misawa." Johan pointed at the boy in the Ra yellow uniform with dark brown hair. "Everyone this is Judai Yuki."

"It's nice to meet you." The girl greeted as she gave her best smile to everyone. "I hope we can become great friends in the future."

"It's nice to meet you to." Alexis replied with a smile.

"Can I call you onii-chan?" Syrus asked with a smile as he fiddled with his big glasses that perched on the boy's tiny nose.

"If you want to." Judai giggled.

"OH NO!" Johan yelled.

"What's up, did you realise that you're one off from getting a detention again on late marks?" Jun smirked.

"How do you do it?" Amon laughed.

"What?" Johan turned to Jun in confusion as they began to set off.

"Be late every day. I mean your dorms are the closest to the school and you turn up 3 hours late at the most." Amon explained.

"Yeah. I'm in the same dorm as you but turn up to class after me. Some of us even try to wake you up." Jim agreed with Amon. "Mate, have you got an alarm clock?"

"Yeah." Johan smiled. "It just doesn't work." Manjyoume face palmed.

Judai watched the group as the messed about. Blair and Alexis were sharing a packet of ready salted crisps and Johan was laid-back about the school year.

Syrus, Daichi and Judai split up with the others and went towards the Ra yellow dorms. Daichi had something to show the light blue haired boy. Judai decided to make her own way back to the dorms. It can't be that hard, right?

In the obelisk blue dorms, Johan sat on his bed as he read the letter he had gotten from Miss Smith a few days ago. It was for a holiday with the class. The boy reached for the jar of notes on the side table by his bed and spooned out the money then began to count it until he had enough. "Isn't the trip a bit cheaper than before?" Ruby lay on Johan's lap. "I wonder what will happen Ruby."

"Johan be careful something seems strange about this trip." Amethyst (or Ame) recommended as the other spirits appeared.

"I will. Don't worry." Johan smiled at his friend. Suddenly the boy heard a knock on his door. It was Judai. "Hi Judai. What are you doing here? Don't tell me you're here to see me at a time like this."

"Well I'm trying to get to my dorm but I can't seem to find my way there." Judai looked at Johan and a cat caught the corner of her eyes. "I didn't know that you had a pet cat." The girl giggled. "Oh I'm sorry, I've done it again." Judai looked down at the floor.

"No it's fine. You can come in to see her. Her name's Ruby. I'm glad I'm not the only one who can see her." The bluenette smiled at the girl as she looked up in shock. She followed Judai inside and closed the door behind her. The room was beautiful. "Ruby's like a family for me." Johan smiled while the cat bond towards Judai. "She seems to like you."

"Yeah." Judai was amazed. She had found someone who was like her and the first person who hadn't laughed at her because of it. "I'm happy I'm not the only one who can see spirits."

"Me too. Should I show you the way to your dorm or do you want to spend the night? I have a spare bed that's not in use."

"If that ok?"

"Yeah it's fine and I'm glad to help you out." The boy grinned as the other spirits appeared.

'Wow. I wonder how winged kariboh would react to this. I bet he'd have loads of fun. I'm not going to let this opportunity go to waste. The bed looks super comfy.' Judai bounced onto the spare bed at the other side of the room. Ruby perched on the bed with her.

"You finally have another person to try to wake you up." Topaz smirked.

/Hey don't be rude. / Johan pouted as he dropped onto his bed.

"Isn't that boy coming back tomorrow?" Amethyst asked as she made her way to the bed.

/I think so. / Johan turned to Judai who was beaming to herself.

"You're a great pal for letting me do this." The brunette smiled. A light blush appeared across Johan's cheeks.

"You think?" The boy asked sleepily as he rubbed the back of his head.

"I know so." Judai winked.

'Maybe it's not so bad to let someone I only just met into my dorm for the night. I'm not going to do anything stupid and she seems too nice.' Johan glanced at Ruby. The cat spirit had curled up by Judai and was purring softly.

"Hey, Johan. Can I borrow a shirt? I don't want to get my uniform creased on the first day." Judai reasoned.

"S-sure." Johan stuttered. "The shirts are in the wardrobe by the bed that you're on." Johan turned to look at the wall as Judai clambered off the bed and picked a shirt. "You can get changed in the bathroom if you want. Just fold your clothes by the bed when you're done."

"Ok." Judai skipped to the door and when she came out she held a pile of neatly folded clothes and a white shirt that was too big for her. The bottom reached the end of her thighs and the sleeves were rolled up so her hands were visible. The collar was hanging off a shoulder with the top button undone. She placed the clothes on the floor by the bed and slid under the covers. "Good night."

"Night." Johan blushed. How could she be so calm in a situation like this? It made no sense to the bluenette as he sat up and watched as Ruby wiggled under the quilts, her head popped up and snuggled up to the girl.

Johan couldn't sleep a wink that night. His head was full of the thoughts of the girl that was sleeping in the same room as him and wearing one of his shirts. It was like a dream come true.

When they reached school and met the others, Johan headed to the roof again until lunch. He wasn't in the mood to go to lessons and his mind was way too muddled. If he sow Judai again, he would remember about the other night and not know what to do.

He picked himself up and shook his head. He had no time to think of perverted thoughts. That was his brother's job to do. When the bluenette reached the cafeteria, he found his friends laughing with Judai. He reached the table with a ham sandwich that he just bought and sat next to Judai. "Sorry I'm late." The bluenette gave a chuckle. "I got lost again."

"You seem to get lost a lot now." Alexis pointed out. "The teacher was complaining about you today again and wants to see you."

"It's your own fault that you're late. Why doesn't Ruby wake you up?" Jun commented. On other days the boy had been late for just sleeping in for a couple more minutes… or hours more.

"She may be my cat but most of the time when she tries to wake me up it fails and I don't wake up." Johan's friends knew about only the cat but they didn't know that she was the spirit of one. The boy couldn't find it to tell them about his ability in the fear of losing them. He'd told people in the past but they all seemed to get scared off. It didn't bother him in the past as much as it would if it happened again. They were now family to him.

The bell went and they all headed to class. Johan quickly stuffing the reminder of his sandwich in his mouth and Judai laughing at him for looking weird. When Johan finished his sandwich they both burst out into fits of laughter. Soon enough they reached the classroom and sat in their seats. The teacher came in and set the books she was carrying onto her desk.

"Right today we are working on page 46 to page 48 so, get out your textbooks and turn to page 46. Can someone had out the books?" The lesson started and half way through Johan was fast asleep from the lack of sleep the other night. A book covered his head and a slim pen was in his grasp. Judai smiled to herself and began to do the work but, every now and then she would glance at the sleeping boy. 'I hate doing this work but to think about copying out again is a huge pain! But, if this is to repay a favour then I have to do this. Johan helped me out last night so why shouldn't I help him.' Judai carried on with the work that was set and when she was done, she copied it into Johan's book. 'Friends look out for one another.' Judai mused.

Soon enough the bell went for the end of the day and Johan finally woke up. All his work for the lessons were completed. "All you need to do is read through it a few times then it'll make sense." Judai pointed out. She looked very proud of herself for being to do both her and Johan's work.

"Thank you Judai. You really helped me out there." The bluenette grinned sheepishly.

"No problem. It was just because you helped me out and now you will help me out again because my hand is killing me." The girl giggled.

Jim was sitting near Alexis and turned to face her. The exchanged glances then shrugged. Jun gave death glares at Jim but soon calmed down when Jim pointed to the pair at the front of the class who were getting ready to leave. "I wonder what's going on with onii-san." Syrus asked out load.

"She's probably just going home with that stupid lazybones." Jun replied.

"Johan isn't a lazybones." Alexis defended the bluenette.

"Yeah don't be silly, pal." Jim grinned as he picked up his bag and they set off. "Let's give them some time together."

"You're right." Alexis smiled.

'How come I don't get the same treatment as everyone else by Alexis?' Jun pouted.

"What's wrong?" Alexis turned to look at Jun who was currently sulking.

"Nothing." The raven haired boy looked away then gave a glance at Alexis. She was thinking about him.

"You sure?" Alexis asked again.

"How come you let people call me names but you don't let me call other people names?" Jun moaned. The blonde rolled her eyes.

"Don't be silly Jun. You do it all the time to people and most of the time I let it go by." Alexis pointed out.

"Really." Jun rubbed his eyes.

"Of course. Right, everyone?"

"Yeah." Jim smiled as he adjusted his hat. Everyone-else agreed with him.

"See." Alexis beamed.

"Alexis." Jun ran into the girls arms. "I'm sorry I thought that about you. I knew you were a nice person to me and everyone else." Alexis turned to look at Jim and Syrus. They exchanged looks again then burst into light laughter. Jun always seemed to amaze them, (Especially Alexis) except when he was in a sulk or just trying to act cool.

Johan and Judai had reached the slither red dorms. "Here we are. Do you know where to go know?"

"Yeah and it's all thanks to you."

"It's nothing." Johan's cheeks turned to a light pink. "If you have a roommate, can you tell them I said hi?"

"Yeah sure. I'll tell them that you helped me out." Judai walked up the stairs to her room. "Thanks again and see you tomorrow."

"Remember to bring the form in."

"I will." Judai entered the dorm after knocking on the door. "Hi, I'm Judai Yuki. I'm your new roommate."

Two girls stood in the room. One of them looked like Judai but with dark hair and bright yellow eyes. "Hey. I'm Yubel and that's Johan." The other girl pointed to the brunette.

Thirty minutes later, Johan was back in his dorm room. 'I may sound like a creeper to myself but man was she cute. I'm so glad I'm her friend.'

"Look who it is." Someone smirked. He looked exactly like Johan except had darker hair and their eyes were a bright orange. He wore a black vest top and dark jeans under a long sleeveless coat with lots of belts.

"Hi Jesse." Johan sat on his bed as his blush vanished.

"I just came back and I got you a souvenir."

"That's cool. How's things?"

"Ok but something interesting happened." Jesse smirked.

Judai sat on the floor, cross-legged, and brushed at her hair. It had less space in it then Johan's room but the walls were still a nice cream colour. The room had two bed-bunks on other sides of the room at the back. The room was long and thin so the space between the beds wasn't much and thanks to the low roof, the people who slept on the top bunk couldn't sit up or they would hit their head. The room also had a small, simple desk with hardly anything on it however, the draws were crammed full of things like notes and makeup. The carpet was worn down but still managed to feel soft in the process. There were two wardrobes in the room that were side to side and Judai's suitcase was leaning against it. Still full of stuff. The girl opened the suitcase and many pieces of clothing shot out of it like a volcano.

Yubel helped her get all the clothes together and put them in a pile. "You can have the second bunk to yourself then you can put your stuff on the bottom bunk. We'll borrow that one from time to time though." The girl smiled. One side of her long hair was a nice purple and the other side was white. You could see at the roots that she was naturally purple. She had green lipstick on that somehow seemed to suit her and her right eye was a deep green and the other eye was orange like Jaden's.

"Did you see that boy from before?" Yubel turned to Jaden and smirked.

"You mean that annoying one." Jaden thought out load.

"Which one? Have you met one of them?" Yubel's smile widened.

"S-shut up. It was Jesse." Jaden blushed bright crimson. "Now I'm getting changed." She walked to the wardrobe to the right and pulled out a black nightgown. Judai was getting her own white nightgown and Yubel had dropped onto her bed on the bottom part. Jaden stripped and slid into her nightdress and sat back on the chair at the desk.

"You like him." Yubel said but Jaden huffed in annoyance.

"Me like a guy like him. You have to be mad. There is no why I could ever like a guy like him. That rude, self-centred, immature boy."

Judai turned to smile at her sister who was pouting. "What does Jesse look like?"

"He looks exactly like Johan, the boy from earlier, but with darker hair and bright orange eyes and..." Johan blabbered off as her mind wondered.

"Well she defiantly does like Jesse." Yubel smirked. She climbed onto the second bunk bed and snuggled down to go to sleep.

The morning came and Jesse woke up with bedhead. His brother still slept as he snored lightly. Jesse changed into his school uniform quickly after turning off his load alarm clock and shook his brother awake. "5 more minutes." Johan droned but that made Jesse even angrier and he shook the boy more aggressively.

"Good morning. Now get changed, school is today and I don't want to be late." Jesse ordered then sat back on his own bed.

"Good morning to you too. What time is it?" Johan beamed as he got dressed then they headed out.

"About quarter to seven." Johan replied. "So that means we only have about one hour and fifteen minutes left."

"But that's ages." Johan moaned then gave a huge yawn.

"Hey don't get grumpy with me. I woke you up didn't I and now you can have breakfast for the first time in a while." Jesse had a point. The light bluenette woke up ten, or even less, minutes before he had to go to school. Luckily it only took you about three minutes to get there plus the extra five to get to the path that leads you to school.

"Did you get your form for the holiday?" Judai asked as they reached the huge hall full of long tables and chairs. Many people sat around it and gobbled at the food like they hadn't eaten in days.

"Yeah. I made sure to save enough money this time." Johan beamed.

"Well done. Now I don't have to pay for you as well this time."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Johan pouted as they picked their food.

"Exactly what I said." Johan chuckled. They sat down and began to eat. After Jesse had downed about an army's worth of pancakes and orange juice they left for school to hand in their forms.

Soon enough the day came and Judai packed her red suitcase full of essential things like her deck which was carefully placed. She had packed many clothes, makeup and bath things with some shoes. 'Is this too much?' Judai thought to herself as she finally managed to zip up the suitcase. Someone knocked at the door. 'Johan.' Judai smiled to herself and opened up to the bluenette who had a blue suitcase that looked like Judai's next to him.

"You ready?"

"Almost. Just need to get my coat and then I'll be."

"Great. It's so cool that you're coming with us."

"I know and I spent so much time deciding on stuff to bring. They said to bring stuff that you didn't mind getting dirty."

"I'm so excited for this. Two weeks of fun with you." Johan grinned. Judai blushed as red as a tomato and quickly turned around.

"I'll go get my jacket."

"And I'll take your suitcase." Johan entered the room and got Judai's wheelie suitcase. Judai spun around.

"You don't have to."

"I insist." The boy grinned even more.

"Fine if you insist I can't do anything about it." Judai smiled and slipped on her red jacket. They headed to the port to meet their friends.

It took a few hours to get to where they were going. The trip was on, what looked like an abandoned island.

The boat reached 100m from the beach and stopped to get out the little boats that would go to the shore.

"I'm up for a swim." Johan ran to the side of the ship.

"Me too." Judai grinned. Alexis overheard and headed to them.

"But both of you are still in your uniforms." She pointed out.

"It doesn't matter." Johan laughed and jumped off the ship and dived into the sea. Judai came after him.

"It's freezing." Judai laughed as they began to swim to the sore.

"Race you to the beach." Johan smirked. "The person who loses has to do a batsu game."

"Not if I get there first." Judai sped off but Johan soon caught up. They were in a neck-and-neck race to the beach. The others watched them as they jumped up onto the sand in their soaking wet clothes.

"I won." Johan cheered

"No I did." Judai pouted.

"What I beat you by a mile."

"Let's check." They looked at the boat that began to head to the harbour. Small boats floated in the waters. Judai jumped back in with Johan following him. They began to have a splash battle when everyone was getting off the boat with their luggage. Alexis had Jim had gotten Judai and Johan's suitcase.

Soon enough they reached the eight ranches. Each was lettered with a letter from the alphabet of the door. A-E.

An instructor stood in front of the buildings and everyone formed a group around her. There is an instructor for every ranch. This instructor had big blue eyes and short brown hair that was tied in a ponytail. She wore a brown hat and big black sunglasses. She wore black top and shorts (with the island logo on it) and a pair of walking boots. She head a red clipboard with all the information for who goes to what ranch. She had the letter A on her back. She had a nametag with a name: 'Emily Parker'.

Emily began to read out who was in what group after introducing herself and explaining that they would meet the other ranch members later on. The groups had eight people. Hassleberry and Amon where in group b. Group A was: Jim, Alexis, Jun, Syrus, Johan, Jesse, Jaden and Judai (the rest were in group c).

"Food will be in the cafeteria by the pond at 6. I will see you then." And the instructor went into his car and headed off.

Everyone went into their chosen cabins. There were four bedrooms with two beds in each room and a simple, oak wardrobe. A changing room was the first two doors on the right when you entered the building. One door lead to the girl's side while the other door lead to the boy's side. The changing rooms had extra doors in them. One of the doors in the girls changing room went straight to the washing room however, the boy's changing rooms door lead to a small corridor with two other doors. The door opposite the changing room was the washing room and the other door lead to another corridor to two doors. The door to the right was the other door in the girls changing rooms and the door to the right at the end of the corridor was the toilets. The third door on the right was a small dining room and the rest of the doors were to the bedrooms.

There was an odd number of boys and girls (more boys than girls) so everyone decided to do a chart to see what roommate they would get. Four lines were going down to four names (Syrus, Jaden, Alexis and Johan). Small lines went connected the lines together like strange ladders. Jesse went first and chose the first line and followed the line with his finger. He got Jaden. "It seems as though fate wants us to be together." The boy grinned as Jaden turned away with a huff. Her face was crimson red.

Jim went next and chose the last line. He ended up with Syrus. "Let's have fun, pal." Jim smiled as he headed back. Syrus smiled back. The last two people to make their choses were Jun and Judai. Alexis glanced at Judai who was staring at the sheet of paper with pure concentration. Everyone else had gone to get their suitcases to bring them inside.

"I'll go with Jun and Johan will go with Judai." Alexis smiled and before Jun could protest, Alexis lead him to their temporary dorm room. They left the blushing Judai and Johan.

"Well I guess we have no chose." The bluenette reasoned.

"Yeah." Judai agreed as they went to the last free bedroom. "It'll be like before though."

"Yeah but you're more prepared." Johan beamed after they chose their bed. "Come on let's go get our suitcases." Judai nodded.

"Race you." Judai giggled as they ran out of the room.

That was chapter 1! I decided to merge both chapter 1 and 2 together and use more detail in what's going on.

Sam: Review or PM us on what you think will happen in this

Tom: we need three more OCS for the instructors of ranches C to E so any ideas will be great

See you on the next chapter and stay tuned for more!
