Her gaze lingered on his. His eyes always gave away his emotions to her and everyone else. She just understood them better than everybody else. Today, he was different, the hope that usually clouded the feelings he didn't want anyone to see was hidden behind his unwanted feelings. She was the reason for that and she hated it. He was sad, desperate, and upset.

He knew she was testing the water as she watched him, so he didn't react to anything she did. He didn't want to give her the satisfaction of knowing what he was thinking. She gave him a sheepish smile. His smile didn't reach his eyes or any other part of his faces.

I should just say it…. She thought worriedly.

"Logan," she snapped him out of an unwavering stare. "I love you." It wasn't questioned or nervous, it was defiant.

His expression changed from anxiousness to pure joy. He loved her, she loved him, and there was no second guessing to it.
