The humour of Zazu's throw rug joke was very short-lived for Mufasa. He was livid how his brother would forfeit the presentation of his only nephew.
"I'll scar his left eye when I'm finished with him," he growled.
Mufasa's fury melted away when he immediately looked at his mate nursing their new son. Looking at his child, the sun seemed to rise higher and his worries were melting away like sand washed by water, a spitting image of the king himself.
Mufasa nuzzled Sarabi as he looked at the innocent ball of fluff.
"And how's my sunlight?" he smiled.
Simba purred in response.
"That's what I like to hear," said Mufasa pridefully.
All of a sudden the cub sneezed unexpectedly making the bigger lion jump back.
"You scared Daddy," smiled Sarabi licking the baby.
"I wasn't that scared," lied Mufasa.
"How like a king," chuckled Sarabi. "Too proud to own up. You won't be like nah will you, Simba Wimba?"
Simba chuckled at his mother and the giant cat looking down at him.
Simba burst into a huge fit of giggles as his father pulled funny faces at him.
"Don't make him laugh too much Mufasa," Sarabi reminded him. "His lungs are only small."
Mufasa apologised to his cub for making him laugh too much and began to nuzzle his pudgy belly into relaxation to the point where Simba yawned.
"Someone's tired," said Mufasa as he sat next to his queen. He brought his head closer to Simba whose head came in physical contact with his mane. To Mufasa's surprise, the cub nuzzled and purred into it nonstop.
Mufasa began to giggle at the tickling sensation and rolled onto his back.
Sarabi gently released Simba onto his father and nuzzled him endlessly making the king giggle like a kitten being tickled by the flowers.
"A mane has many uses," laughed Mufasa.
Mufasa brought Simba close up with his paws and licked him with pure affection and the cub started laughing.
"Justice is sweet," said Mufasa and he eventually laid back and let the baby lick his cheek.
"Looks like my job is done," smiled Sarabi.
Mufasa looked at the little teen who purred and nuzzled into a sweet sleep.
"My son," sighed Mufasa proudly.
