Long story short, this…fanfic, if you can call it that, came about because of a running joke I had in a chat. The old man referenced is basically Jagen from Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem. This was literally just posted in that chat and transferred to this format, then posted.

After, obviously, calling me pathetic for getting taken and pinned, Severa said this: "I don't want to save you, but if I don't, who will help me and take me shopping. That's why I'm gonna save you, not that I love you, you weakling~."

Then, with a speed I've only seen a few other places, she rushed at the old man who himself reacted with a rarely seen speed. He took his lance, jumped back, did a handspring and landed ready to fight.

So, after forcing the old man back a bit, Severa grabbed me, making sure I was okay. Of course, I did the only sane thing and said "I am now, thanks to my Hero~."

Of course, this inspired a blush that matched her striking red hair.

"I-idiot," she said. "Didn't you hear that I wasn't here to save you? I'm here to save my lov-I mean my loot."

"That just makes me feel that much happier that you came, I'm your treasure." I responded, seizing the opportunity. I thought that maybe getting her embarrassed and getting her blood flowing would help her in the fight against the old man.

I then took her hand as she helped me stand up. I didn't have any weapons of my own, so I couldn't very well fight, and in her haste she hadn't thought to bring an extra.

Thankfully, the deus ex of her coming into this world spawned an extra sword. I hadn't noticed it at first, but as I turned around to look for one, I found it and grabbed it. It was a pretty old and rickety sword, but it would suffice.

"Did you actually manage to find a sword?" She looked surprised as I dashed back to her side. "I'm impressed. You've actually managed to impress me. Don't get too excited about that, this is a one-time thing. We'll have to wait and see if you can do it again."

Her blush, which had since disappeared, reappeared slightly, matching the light pink of a carnation.

"I couldn't very well leave you alone to fight my battle for me, could I? What kind of spouse would I be if I did that?" I arrived at her side and assumed a stance I'd picked up from watching her train. I didn't quite understand it, but I could feel myself become more stable. We had a fight to win. The old man that had taken advantage of me for so many weeks, causing so much strife and unnecessary stress was opposite us. We would either take him out or die trying. Either way, it's a fate better than being at his mercy.

That's it, that's all I really wrote. What comes next would be an attempt at doing an action sequence, but I'm too sedentary for anything active.
