Broken Glass

Embry x OC

(Sequel to "Breaking Through")

It's been about a year since Embry had imprinted on Kenna, and as their relationship began to grow, trouble happens on the home front. Bella Swan becomes a vampire, and has a child who becomes the imprint of Jacob Black.

Not only that, but another werewolf who joins the pack develops feelings for Kenna, even though he knows that she's already someone else's soul mate.

As Embry and Kenna's relationship continues to progress...there's also complication, with Kenna still having difficulties with social cues and communicating with others.

As another war begins, their relationship is put to the test.

Can Embry and Kenna's relationship stand still, or will it crumble?

A/N: I am back! And yes, this is the sequel to "Breaking Through"! YAY! Whoo, got that out, haha. Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that yes, I have decided to write a sequel to this story. I wasn't expected for the first story to get a lot of fans, but I was surprised by the turn out in a positive way. Some readers may be excited for this story, and some may not, and that's okay.

Not everyone is going to like the same thing, but this is a story that I'm writing. I may lose or gain readers who may or may not like this story, and that's okay. However, I won't tolerate people being very harsh and critical of my writing. It's something my mother always told my siblings and since we were kids, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

Asides from that, my hope is that you will enjoy this story, and if you're interested in reading more of this sequel, please let me know. Also, from now on, I won't allow anonymous reviews. I love anonymous reviews, but recently there has been an anonymous review from someone who has been very critical of my writing, and even wanted me to write a story for them that wasn't even my idea, and they have harped on me to write it, when I have explained to all of my readers I don't have enough time to write with working two jobs and going to school as well. I'm not a superhero, and I'm not someone to be used as a puppet. I'm a human being, and I can't get everything done right away.

Please bare in mind that sometimes I may post new chapters or stories, and other times I might not be able to. It doesn't mean that I won't stop writing. It'll happen every now and again, so I want you to know that this might happen sometimes, so please keep this in mind. Again, thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy...Tessa Anne

Chapter 1

Kenna Mallory never imagined how her life would be now compared to last year. Last year, she was a shy, tongue-tied girl with autism who lacks understanding of social cues and emotions. She still has difficulties in communicating with others, but she's improving slowly but surely.

Kenna's relationship Embry Call, however, has yet to be broken. They've been in a relationship for almost a year now, and they're still going strong. They've had their ups and downs, but they managed to overcome those struggles. Sadly for the wolf pack, it has slowly started to divide, as Embry's best friend Jacob Black has been on the run for months since the news of Bella Swan's impending marriage to the vampire Edward Cullen was about to come up in a couple of weeks.

Kenna's sister Lauren hasn't left for college yet, and the entire Mallory family were invited to the wedding. Although Kenna was invited to the wedding, she was dreading it. People have looked at her strangely for years because of her odd behaviors and because of her difficulties in her social skills and communication.

As for Embry, he was less than thrilled about his girlfriend going to a vampire wedding. As he sat on the bed watching Kenna try on a dress for the wedding, he was fuming on the inside.

He wanted to be there to protect her. He didn't trust any of the Cullen's, and he was afraid of something bad happening to her.

"What d-d-do your think?"

Embry turned his head toward her, shaking himself out of his trance, and was in awe.

Kenna was improving in her communication, but she still had some trouble with her speech. Embry has been at the house a few times when Kenna's speech therapist came in to work with her. He would watch in amazement in how Kenna's mind work and how hard she wanted to be successful. Even her speech therapist included Embry in the session, as a way for Kenna to communicate with peers her own age.

Kenna kept wringing her hands together, as a way to calm herself, while Embry took in her dress. She was wearing a simply grey-colored dress that came down to her knees, flowing down with one-shoulder strap.

He could tell that she was waiting for him to respond, so he walked toward her and wrapped his arms around her. Pressing a kiss to her forehead, he bent down to kiss her lips and whispered, "Words can not describe how beautiful you are, Kenna."

Her hands already moved to his lower back, her nails running over his shirt, as she's leaned up and kissed him again.

The intensity between these two has grown overtime, and though they've been together for almost a year, the heat is still there and stronger than ever. He pulled away from her slightly, only to press some tender kisses on her nose, her cheeks, and her forehead before kissing her lips again. "I love you, Kenna."

"I love you too, Embry." She whispered back, giggling when he started to tickle her sides. "I wished you were co-com-coming with m-m-me."

Brushing a lock of her blonde curls out of her face, Embry smiled and nodded. "I know, I wish it too. But, I promise that I'll be watching in the shadows, since Seth is going. You'll be okay with him. I trust him to take care of you, and he knows it."

"I know, but s-s-still..."

"Hey, I know what you're thinking, and I know you're not comfortable around the Cullen's. Believe me, I'm not okay with you going either, but I promise you nothing will ever happen to you. I will always be there when you need me, I promise."

"I know, I just, I just d-d-don't w-w-want to be h-hel-helpless."

"You're not helpless, Kenna. You're the strongest person I know. Well, asides from my mother." That earned him a laugh. "I know you're strong enough to take care of yourself, but it's okay to ask for help every once in a while. Okay?"

She nodded, then leaned her head against his chest, as he ran his hands up and down her sides, causing her to laugh again.

It seems like they are a strong couple, but how strong are they...
