A soldier; an active, loyal, or militant follower in an organisation. A person who usually take and follow commands from his superiors.
For as long as he can remember, Tsuna has always been a good little soldier.
He would come to his mother's side whenever she called, eat all the carrots and vegetables as he was told, and help anyone he can when he was asked to.
Tsuna is a good little soldier.
He would do everything he was told to do, be anything he was told to be, because Tsuna is a good little soldier.
"Tsu-kun, can you help me make dinner?"
"Tsu-kun, eat your vegetables."
"Go play somewhere else. We don't want to play with you."
"You can't climb that thing! If I can't climb it, then so can't you!"
"I'm smarter! You are not!"
"You can't do anything! From now on, your name will be Dame-Tsuna, the kid who can't do anything!"
Yes, Tsuna will always be a good soldier, even if it hurts.
When Tsuna was thirteen years old, he met an infant called Reborn.
The infant came to his house -clad in black suit and a fedora- with the intention to make him become an excellent mafia boss.
Reborn was (and still is) violent and very weird, and also scary. But Tsuna listened to him anyway, clinging to every words he said and following almost all of Reborn's orders. Even when he complained and said out loud how crazy the orders were, Tsuna would obediently carry it out.
Training after training, fights after fights, Tsuna became stronger, faster, and bolder.
Slowly but surely, he began to be the man Reborn wished to see, the man his Family would count on, the perfect leader of Vongola.
Unfortunately, every human has a limit, and Tsuna is very much human. Without anyone noticing it, Tsuna had finally reached his limit, tired of being everyone's good little soldier. Tired of being pulled and pushed around by everyone, of being used for their own satisfaction.
But, no matter how much he wanted to, he can't stop.
There are still some people who needs it, who needs him to become a good soldier, someone who needs him to become the person they wished to see, to become the person they wished to believe in, to be the person that they can rely on when trouble comes.
And so, he held his head high -even if he desperately wants to look down-, squared his shoulders -even though they're shaking under a heavy burden-, and do what everyone expects him to do, be what everyone wants him to be, like a good little soldier he is.
