Seriously?
Chapter One
Oh, God.
Jessica is going to die, I decided. As soon as I figured out where she is I am making the arrangements for her coffin to be transported back to Forks. Let's go to Seattle, she said. C'mon, Bella, you know you are in desperate need of a good bookstore. It's storming too badly to drive back to Forks tonight, she had said once we got here. We'll just stay the night in a hotel and go in the morning…and since we're here, why not go out?
It's just one little drink, she said. Ugh. And one more little drink and one more…this is why I don't drink to begin with! But I was so uncomfortable at the bar we snuck into…
No excuses, Bella. Just suck it up and face the fact that you are in a stranger's room – a stranger nowhere to be seen. And where are my clothes?!
Holy crow. Did I lose my virginity and not even remember it? Oh, where is Jessica? Where is my top? And where am I?
I took a calming breath. It would help if I could see, I suppose. I wrapped the sheet around myself and walked over to the window so I could open the blinds. I peered outside – at least the sun shines in Seattle. Maybe it'll follow us home – no, focus Bella! Worry about the sun later, worry about your lost clothes now!
Aha! I spotted a pile of clothes on a nearby chair. Huh, they were neatly folded, too. Just as I went to pick up my shirt, though, the most beautiful man I have ever seen walked into the room.
He started to smile crookedly at me but within a second his lips turned downward and his eyes widened in shock.
The sunlight hit his skin and I couldn't even let out a scream before my feet got tangled in the sheet and I hit my head against the glass of the window. The glitter of his skin flashed before my eyes before darkness overtook me.
A/N – OK, so I know that is super short, but I have to work really early and don't have time to finish the next chapter (which I promise is much longer) and…well, I'm impatient and wanted feedback ;)
Please review – it'll help my decision between writing and taking a nap after work!
