Broken
With Hephaestian dead, Bagas had hoped that things would change. That Alexander would now love him, with the same passion in which he had loved Hephaestian. However it would seem that Alexander will never be able to let go of his love for Hephaestion. Even now, as Alexander lay dying he thinks of nothing but Hephaestion. As Bagas is watching his king, his love, his heart, dying in his bed, he couldn't help but wonder if this is how Hephaestion felt while he still lived. Bagas prayed to the gods that he did not. No matter what other deeds Bagas had done, he would never have wished this kind of pain on anyone. Did both Hephaestion and the Queen share in this pain? How did they endore? Bagas didn't think he wanted to know. Did he in his selfisness, make Hephaestion feel the pain that he now feels? And did Hephaestion in his desperation, make the Queen feel this pain as well? Will there be no end to all the hearts given to Alexander and broken by him?
THE END.
