Shit!
Fucking Shit!
What the hell just happened? was she just fired? No, she wasn't.
Five Minutes ago:
"Lucy you have to come up with something interesting!" Gibson Horne said as he crashed his hand to the table loud. She's never seen him like this before "The number of people that have been buying this magazine's gone lower in just weeks! what's wrong?"
"Nothing! I just need a bit more time to find the story! It's not like I'm a magnet Gib!" she yelled back defensively.
Gibson exhaled "You know what?- you're going to get a good story! stories are flying everywhere Lucy! What about the Julia Malory story?"
"That was done a month ago" she said quickly, crossing her arms.
"I don't give a shit! Just come up with something interesting! Can you do one about Tom Jeter's brother being hostage?"
"No" she said as if what he said was just useless.
"Why the hell not?"
"I run a tabloid magazine, not a newspaper" Lucy said standing up.
Once again Gibson Horne was defeated. Why again is he always underhanded? To hell! It was him magazine! she was his boss. "You are going to write about Studio 60 and I want it done within a month and that's it!" then again he knew firing her would be a big lost.
"A month? As in like 30 days?- why am I supposed to write about what happens in a comedy...studio?"
"I thought you could write about almost anything" by that the tables were turned. She had to find an interesting scoop about something that she just doesn't know of that much. "and.." Gibson said before Lucy opened the door.
"What?" Lucy asked turning around quite frustrated.
"You don't use your office"
"What?!" she yelled storming to his desk. "Are you kidding me? It's gonna be me using someone's small desk?"
"Oh don't worry, you do it alone..not here..not in this building..maybe in the internet cafe or with your laptop?" he said daring. That was just pure evil. "Well actually you get to pick just one staff"Lucy knew what he was doing, he was making her suffer."All I want is one article about Studio 60- something people don't know yet..in 30 days"
Damn!
She was almost fired, this was going to be a big challenge. There can't possible be anything about that that she could write about. She has to research it. The one staff that she'd pick is obviously Don.
Lucy flipped her laptop open and went to the internet." Studio 60 executive producers Matt Albie and Danny Tripp. About them? Studio 60 has a lot of celebrities..Simon Stiles, Tom Jeter, The big three..Harriet Hayes has been involved with Matt Albie...that's interesting."
She closed her laptop and put it on the table. She laid on her bed and closed her eyes. She knew exactly what to write about.
