Ten Years Later
Tobias
Today marks the ten year anniversary of Tris' death. I walk to her grave and leave flowers. I sit there for most of the day and think of all the memories we had.
Had. That word haunts me because I realized that "had" means past.
I also then comprehend that we will always have something. She will always be mine until the day I die and see her agin.
Her, Beatrice.
The Beatrice that jumped first. Even I didn't jump first.
The Beatrice that stood on a target to get knives thrown at her.
I then shake my head.
Get up.
And Walk out of history.
But Beatrice,
You will always be mine.
You will always be brave.
Your legacy will never be forgotten.
Your sparkle will not dull.
I will never forget what we have.
And, I will never, ever let go.
