Lola's boyfriend was nice.
That was really the only way to describe him now: he was a nice, sweet, kind guy, totally reformed from when he'd been the biggest bully in school. And not only was he nice, but he was a star athlete, insanely cute, and an excellent kisser (she wasn't too surprised by that).
He called her babe all the time, in that natural way he possessed whenever he was talking. She thought being his girlfriend was the best role she'd ever had, and she had played a lot of characters. He let her be her quirky herself.
He wasn't her first kiss, and he wasn't her first real boyfriend. But he was the first boy she had ever fallen in love with, the first boy she felt like she could spend a whole day with and even that wasn't enough.
But graduation was looming and just beyond that, college.
She hoped they could make it.

Quinn's boyfriend was difficult.
He was used to getting his own way; he'd been spoiled by his rich father for his entire life. She had hated him for the longest time, but then one day, out of nowhere, she hadn't hated him anymore. She had seen a softer side of him, the side most people didn't know about, and she had wanted to see more; she had wanted to rip away the layers of his jerk personality and finally get a glimpse of the good guy she'd realized was in there.
So she had. And she'd seen. It had been like solving the hardest scientific formula she'd ever come across.
He was still difficult, but in smaller doses; when they were alone, she hardly ever saw traces of his old rude, sarcastic act. He made mistakes, and she made mistakes, and they argued, and they considered breaking up sometimes, but they never did. At the end of the day (or days, as the case could be), they always found each other again.
He wasn't her first kiss, and he wasn't her first real boyfriend. But he was the boy she couldn't stop thinking about even when she was doing a tricky experiment., the first boy who had ever made her feel like she was the most important thing in the world.
But graduation was rapidly approaching and then, college.
She thought they might make it.

Zoey's boyfriend was… well, perfect.
For her, at least.
He had been her best friend for four years; pining away for her while she had been oblivious. But he'd always meant so much to her, always had known exactly what to say or do to make her feel better. He was always making her laugh, always supporting her in all of her endeavors, always there with a shoulder to lean on, cry on. And she'd done all of those same things for him. They'd been a perfect pair since the beginning; it had just taken them a while to figure it out for themselves. For two smart kids, they could be idiots.
He had been an excellent best guy friend but, she had to say, he was an even better boyfriend. She had thought, those months he'd been gone and she'd been with another boy, that if they'd gotten together it would have been weird. But she'd thought wrong, so wrong; being with him didn't turn things upside-down, it made everything right. She hated knowing that him being in another country for four months and her dating some new stranger was what made her realize all of that.
He wasn't her first kiss, and he wasn't her first real boyfriend. But he was the boy she couldn't live without, the boy she saw so much potential with.
But graduation was coming fast and then there would be college.
She knew they would make it.
