Chuck vs "Everything's OK"

"Everything's OK now" is a line from 'The Other Guy', said by Chuck to Sarah in the Paris hotel room, after she asks him "What happened?"

See if this short little fan fic makes everything 'OK' for you as a shipper fan?

I don't own Chuck.

From the TV show scene … Sarah sat up in the bed. She was still suffering from disorientation due to being drugged by Shaw. Sarah said both in the show and in this story, "Chuck, what happened?" My story picks up from there:

"What do you remember?" Chuck asked as he walked over to Sarah and sat on the bed next to her.

"I was in the Castle Lab with Shaw, examining the mask. Shaw accidentally tripped a booby trap on the mask and released a poison gas. After that, I can't remember anything."

"It was no accident. Shaw poisoned you on purpose. He'd taken an antidote, so he was unaffected."

"But why. Shaw's a good spy. Why would he want to hurt me?"

"Sarah. This is hard. Do you remember your Red Test?"

"Oh no Chuck. Please. You can't know about that. It was the worst day of my life."

"I know Sarah. Beckman told us. She had to tell us so we could find you. It turns out the Russian spy you killed that day was Daniel Shaw's wife. She used Shaw as her mark. Shaw poisoned you, then got me to leave to find the antidote, so he could kidnap you in order to kill you."

"Why didn't he kill me right away? Why take me to Paris?"

"He wanted to kill you in Paris, the same place you killed Eve."

"How did you find me?"

"Morgan figured out Shaw's location. I'm not even sure how. You know Morgan. Then, Casey and I immediately flew to Paris. We arrived at the cafe, just in time to save you."

"Morgan? But he doesn't know about the intersect, about me, about us?"

"He knows everything Sarah. I needed his help to find you, so I told him. Sarah. You look worried. What's wrong?"

"Chuck. Promise me something."

"Sure anything baby."

"Promise me you'll never, ever, ever take a Red Test."

"Of course I won't ever take a Red Test Sarah. Me taking a Red Test, that's the most disgusting idea any man could ever think of. What kind of twisted mind would even think of such a thing?"

"Me I guess Chuck. It was in my dream."

"You had a dream while you were poisoned?"

"I did. As bad as my dream was for you, for me it was even worse. In my dream I was Shaw's girlfriend."

"His girlfriend. Gross. That dream sounds like a nightmare. Not even a bad TV show would do something so miserable to you. Shaw was the creepiest person I ever met, and had the personality of a wooden board."

"I know. I know. Yet, I think he was worse in my dream, than he was in real life. Ewww. Chuck, I'm so glad it was a dream."

. Chuck answers as he did on TV, "Everything's OK now", and after that we continue with the TV show. Moments later Sarah asked Chuck to 'Kiss her', and the rest of the story is history, with most of the Daniel Shaw season relegated to the status of nightmare, just where it belongs.

If you liked this "Bobby Ewing" addendum to 'The Other Guy', let me know. I didn't like this dream scenario when Dallas did it, but had Chuck pulled it off, they would have rocked the airwaves, and Schwedak could have said I told you so, as well as had the satisfaction of doing something from 80's TV better than the original. Better for me at least. How about you?
