Midday Fly

A/N: This is for the OC challenge! Let's just say that this is slash, and I certainly did not expect to write that. I don't even read slash…

Tristan Wallace is not the type to fall in love.

Now, before you roll your eyes and walk off, this is not to say he didn't.

It's just that he wasn't the type.

Let alone with a boy.

"What are you doing?" Tristan asked with a single blond eyebrow raised.

Albus rolled his eyes, and glanced at him.

"I am on a broomstick. Obviously."

Tristan narrowed his eyes at him.

"So I noticed. What are you doing on said broomstick?"

"I am flying. It is a simple concept. Would you like to join me?"

Tristan wrinkled his nose.

"I'd rather not, thank you." He said disdainfully.

Albus laughed loudly.

"Don't tell me you're afraid of broomsticks!" he chuckled, running a hand through his dark hair.

Tristan frowned.

"Of course not." He replied primly.

Albus' jaw dropped.

"You are!" he cried, waggling his finger at him.

He flew down to the ground.

"Come on Tristan, hop on." He said teasingly.

"No."

"Don't be a coward. I thought you were in Gryffindor!"

"I am." Tristan said, irritated.

"Then get on the broom."

"I will hex you." Tristan hissed.

Albus just snorted and rolled his eyes again.

"Look, I know you're supposed to be all great at DADA and all, but I don't believe. I'm your best friend, remember?"

Tristan's frowned deepened for a moment at his words.

Yes. Yes you are.

"Get on the broom, Tristan."

Tristan sighed, and stared hard at the thing.

"Fine." He said, joining Albus on the broom.

Albus kicked off the ground, quickly soaring up into the sky.

Tristan held onto him tighter.

"Merlin, I'm going to kill you when we get back down." He hissed into Albus' ear.

He just chuckled.

Tristan smiled at bit as they soared through the sky.

After what felt like forever, Albus had them back onto the ground.

Tristan sat down immediately.

"If I wasn't so nauseous, I would kill you." He groaned, holding his stomach.

Albus smirked.

"I'll see you at dinner." He chuckled, patting Tristan on the back.

Would it be such a bad thing if I kissed him?

Tristan sighed.

Yes. Yes it would.

He watched as Albus walked off with his broom in hand.

Tristan tried his best to ignore the pang in his chest.
