L's P.O.V.
I lay on the floor as I'm in the arms of the one person I thought to be my first friend.Light Yagami-kun. He stares from above me with so much hatred and accomplishment as he looks upon me in my death hour. I know he physically didn't kill me but how he fooled me and acted as though he wasn't Kira the infamous God of death and justice was the cause. How foolish of me to even think that someone like me who is not even popular, has no friends,and acts so eccentric would have a friend.I do know that I'm not the only one who's dead; I almost forgotten you Watari-sama who is the reason that I consume many sweets.That reason is because back at the Whammy orphanage for gifted children, none of those people in that prison liked me or even wanted to be my friend and if they did...well.. I pushed them away in fear. You Watari didn't see me as a freak of nature and didn't even flinch and runaway like the others. You gave me candy as a token of respect and fatherly like love. That's the meaning of sweets to me.Sweets+Watarithere are good,kind people in the world. I look back at my life from then till now and feel that maybe I should have lived life till the fullest and not become so obsessive over solving cases. I wonder if death is my best option instead of living. Maybe I can be free of trying to be this great detective and being something that I'm really not. I personally feel sorry for my self right now for being a simple pawn in your little game Light-kun.
I always had my suspicions about you and look where they eventually led me.look...to my demise. The only regret I will probably have is to die before I can see you go down by the principle you feel you are portraying and that's JUSTICE. I give you a final look of knowing your fate before the final curtain of death closes. What's the matter Yagami-kun? Surprised at my eyes.You told me the eyes are the windows to a person's soul didn't you?Well I hope you won't forget these eyes my friend because I'm going home to where I can be my true self and see Watari again.Believe me.. you light-kun will see these eyes one final time before I leave this world of chains and be in a new world of life.
Normal P.O.V.
The room is red and all that is seen is Light Yagami holding on to L. He is smiling victoriously as he's done it...He finally destroyed him.He looks down on his trophy and stares down at the near dead L. He sees a different L who knows of the later details of Light's young life. Watari is dead and the last to die is L. When L finishes his last look, his insomniac eyes slowly drift to an internal rest and his body becomes limp with ease.He's Dead.Ruusaki, The great detective is sleeping in final peace. Light Yagami shouts and screams but it's to late now for any remorse.
L.IS.Dead. And the others can only look on in sadness for this tragic Day that's happened only hoping it was a simple nightmare and that they all will wake up with him still alive sitting in that awkward position accusing the boy that is Kira. Light Yagami. But it never happened.They never woke up. You can't ever wake up from reality.Ever.
