"Alright Myka, we are on our way out!" Leena called grabbing her coat. Myka nodded from the loveseat picking up a worn paper back. She opened it in her lap and waited for the click of the door handle latching. She counted slowly to sixty hoping no one would have to come back for anything.

Myka looked around the small living room, and a quick glance out the window to make sure she was truly alone before she turned the TV one and settled in with her popcorn in her fluffy pajamas.

She grabbed the remote off the coffee table and flipped on to the show that every other day she pretended she didn't know existed. She gave a small smile and turned the volume up as loud as she wanted because today she didn't have to worry about people hearing through her headphones.

"And now back to the Bachelorette." The narrator exclaimed cutting to a dramatic scene recapping what Myka had missed. Myka curled up in her blanket and sighed, squealed, and threw popcorn at the TV in a way that every good chick flick has you doing.

She watched blushing for the Bachelorette and swooning over the bachelors. How she wished she could find someone like that, but with the warehouse, with the secret every agent holds on their shoulders how was she supposed to open her heart and look.

During one of the oh-so-annoying commercials Myka stood up and cleaned up the popcorn from the rug, erasing more evidence of her day off. Myka paused crouched over the rug when she heard the door open in the front room.

God no. She thought. Please don't be home yet. And with that the door opened, Pete walked into the room with a smile and a half eaten doughnut in his hand. "Hey Mykes whatcha watching?" "Well-"Myka said trying to find a quick lie when "Now back to the Bachelorette." Played over the speakers.

Myka blushed and jumped onto the couch pulling the blanket over her head. Pete smiled softly, "Hey Mykes I didn't know that you watch this too?" He said sitting down next to her. "Too?" Myka asked peaking out of the covers. "Where do you think i go?" Pete said "Yeah, I go and hide out in the Pete cave to watch it in peace."

Myka laughed the weight of embarrassment lifted from her chest. "Really?" She asked still a little skeptical. "Oh yeah," Pete said and then he twisted in his seat to get a better view of the TV. Myka leaned over and rested her head on his chest, watching this guilty pleasure of a show, through the night. Pete wrapped his arms around Myka as he started to drift to sleep thinking that this was so much better than being alone in the Pete cave. Even if it didn't have cream soda.
